@garfield: This game uses open world setting well. But I agree with you on that one, I am bored as well, couldn't suffer Watch Dogs 2 for more than 10 hours into game for instance and didn't complete GTA V story.
Yay! Keeps getting better and better. Aaand @Altares36, in 52, Black Canary has the power to shriek loudly indeed. Considering they started making this around 52, it is only appropriate. Black Canary can also kick ass by her kickboxing skills, which is also here. I love Black Canary and I like how she plays in this video.
@cinephilesunite: "Best of" does not mean opinion. If Gamespot wants, it can review films. Reviews are opinions yes, but a "Best Of" list demands respect. Considering how much effort were put in films, saying one film better than another to thousands of readers require some sort of expertise in the field. They are neither film critics nor a film association.
In this regard, I recommend something like "Gamespot Editors' favorite films". Now that's an opinion and it's definitely respectable.
@Isamu_36: I agree that Civil War doesn't deserve to be on the list where there were such great films this year. The only superhero film deserving the spot is Deadpool since it's new, fresh and original
I've studied Dramaturgy and Creative Writing and I must say Vision is unconventional but very well crafted for a comic book, even for any fiction. Despite from time to time, it explains what is going to happen in the future, it doesn't break the surprise, on the contrary, it increases the tension. The pace is getting higher and higher up until it reaches a good climax.
As for characters, they feel real and very human. But while you feel them human, from time to time, it pulls you away from their humanity, that perfectly summarizes Vision family's situation and their internal conflict. And most importantly, like many great stories, there is a gray area, no good no evil.
I recommend this book for anyone who likes a good fiction whether comic book fan or not.
@metallinatus: I admit it is weird; but getting paid is not always the cause. Reviews are one reviewer's opinion, GOTY is the entire team's. Another thing is a game might be 10/10 if it follows a usual formula perfectly. But innovative games deserve GOTY more in my opinion.
@grasu: The only bad thing that is reasonable in all this hate post is "franchise killing" part. Yes, franchising something that makes people enjoy killing thousands of humans seems ethically wrong. However, Warhammer franchise is a fantastical world. Compared to other total wars, this is an acceptable form of violence.
Don't think me as unnecessarily pacifist, I'm ok with shooters as they make you play an imaginary character in an imaginary world, most of them just based on self-defense. However, games like Total War series franchise real wars. War has always been a bad thing, that people shouldn't enjoy.
