I didn't go through your specs because I suspect you need to go back to the drawing board and do more research. Don't choose parts because they are "hot" choose for function. You said you wanted to do the following:

PURPOSE: Production Studio/Interactive Media/3d Animation/Modeling
Programming/Digital Photography/Gaming (only looking forward to Diablo III but would like to be able to play games coming out soon)
Music/Video Editing
Rich Internet App Development/Agile Development

Those require a high end machine. I would start with the best CPU I could afford, match the best mobo for it, max out the ram (you don't need the cutting edge gaming ram), then get the best vid card you can afford, then the best monitor (32" seems like overkill, I have a 24" widescreen and it is plenty big) The rest is just stuff.

Do the research and you WILL know what a good computer can do.

Good luck

I leave mine on and turn off the monitor. I schedule my anti-virus to work after I go to bed and this also saves the circuits and their parts from early failure. The amount of electricity is negligible.

I'm redoing my room and would like to get some sweet surround sound going, I'm doing research on how to get the most out of the surround sound but just 1 thing is up in the air, should I get a set of PC 5.1 speakers such as the logitech X-530 or just a cheap home theater system?? thanks in advance :)

If you want really good sound start off with a better sound card, I bought an HT Omega Claro, then a good speakers, for those I have Kliscph THX 4.1 ( yea there old but still are phenomenal ). Just a guide

Good luck

[QUOTE="nohabs"]

I just advised someone else to contact MS support, you should do the same. It may be as simple as resetting your cmos to a s****load of other problems.

Get real help....not from these forums

Alright. You guys just usually seem to have answers :).

I agree, there are a lot of very smart people here, however when dealing with a serious problem, blue screen, you shouldn't take chances of making it worse.

I just went through fixing corrupt files on mine. I couldn't boot either...I'm assuming you are using a different computer to write here.

First thing you should do is write to MS support help, they are very good at giving instructions.

What it boiled down to with mine was I had to insert the OS disk and follow the prompts for a clean install. It took several tries but did work. It will create a "Windows old" file for you which will contain all your files and apps, which you can use to get your files back.

But remember you should contact MS, there may be some small differences with windows 7

Good luck
