Never will change, get over it. BluRay you dont get a choice, you HAVE to get it to get a PS3. HD-DVD is a CHOICE, if you want it, get it. If you dont, wait... Thats the beauty of CHOICE. And it brought the price of the console down, which is a thorn in Sonys side, and we both know it.

Otherwise, it is 50.00 a year, and well worth that. But while you are at it, since you are such a penny pencher, why dont you figure in the electricity the PS3 uses to power itself as well, and the water you drink while playing... Get over it. More features = lie Doesnt overheat = lie Cheaper = lie BluRay amazing = no more so than HD on any other disc, including HD-DVD.

And further, BluRay isnt necessary, not for games OR HD. HD-DVD is also the format I prefer between the two, if I have to choose either. Which, to be honest, is going to be a moot point soon with VOD, IPTV, and other broadband HD on demand entertainment services launching. So yes, a cheaper faster DVD drive is more inline with what I consider a better console than one that included something that no one needs, most dont currently want, that isnt needed for gaming, and that raised the price and delayed the release, further causing them to loose foothold.
