when they retconned the story, should have retconned reptile. His ninja form looks way better than his mordern reptile form. looked dumb ever since mk3.
@Gooshnads: well, nearly everything has been done before, just with a different spin. Thats why we have genres (generic). The premise is somewhat unique I would say, though. This is why I disagree with the term being used. its broad and subjective and can be summed up in the "simpsons did it" meme.
another thing, Where I read it, it was that the reviewer used it to dscribe levels and platforming. Though I can concede to unimiaginative as a means to describe simplicity of of the platforming, I don't think its good to use to describe locals. its based in real world locations, of course people can claim "to have seen it before."
My point being is that people can draw similarities towards almost any aspect of anything, and use those similarities to label it as "unimaginative" or "generic"
only thing I don't like, is when reviewers use descriptors like "unimaginative." its too widely subjective on whats creative and whats not. I have seen some look at beautiful scenery and say its not up to par.
Thats not to diminish this review though. I see it sort of as an opinion to begin with. A lot of the times I feel differently than most, so I like to gather up as much info as I can.
Was never interested, I don't usually watch lets plays if I am not going to buy it in the first place. Very rarely does watching videos showcasing the content of the video game change my mind against purchasing it.
