When a game is available on both platforms, I prefer getting them on GOG, especially with their new client GOG Galaxy. Although, GOG's selection isn't as abundant as Steam's, especially in terms of the latest games apart from some indie games and their very own published games: The Witcher series and, most likely, their upcoming Cyberpunk 2077. However, I'm a patient gamer, so I don't really buy that many day one games (maybe just one or two a year). I usually go for GOG because of their DRM stance. I use a laptop, although I haven't used it much, I'd like to play a game without having to set up "Offline mode".

So it goes: GOG first, Steam next and all EA games on Origin.

Still read Calvin and Hobbes, B.C., Little Lost Dog and Pooch Cafe. I love Poncho! He's awesome.

Hey, Eagles. I don't know about Skullcandy but some of my friends complained that it wasn't as sturdy. Are you buying it just for music? Or wanting to hear the epicness (and the footsteps) in video games?

Don't know much about headsets but if you got the patience, you could save up a little more and head up for the $200 range. I'm aiming for some Astros.

I know this guy on some forum, he seems to be great with headsets and is against the Astro, Trittons and Turtlebeaches for their overpriced...ness. I'll send you a message as soon as I find the forum.

@mrmusicman247

$60 is the borderline price for a good headset (IMO), I remember these Panasonic headsets and they are just great. Over the ear and I don't think it has noise-cancellation but it felt like it.

There is no noob way, especially with a shotgun. It's already a one shot kill weapon at a close range. I think it'd be more challenging if there was no cross hair.

@NVIDIATI

Thanks for the suggestions and I'll go check them out but I got my eyes set on the Astros A30s... for now.

@Ghost_702

Seems pretty good for a console headset and the cash will come someday for them. How did the ordering and delivery go?

I don't have a pair but I'm planning to get A30s soon with the mix amp. And by "soon" I mean by saving slowly for a year and a bit and I might get them mid-2012 or late 2012.

They look and seem great, I'm a bit biased since I've been exposed to a lot of Astros (being on their site a lot) and I've been hearing so-so to bad things about Trittons and Turtle beach's. The whole Machinima crew got A40s or most of them do. The Astro's compared to them look way better.

Anybody got testimonies about ordering overseas?

Need For Speed: ProStreet.

It got so boring and the same tracks kept appearing over and over again in a bad way. I know tracks will be repetitive but they weren't very challenging. It's hard to explain but the game just got on my nerves.

@hyksiu I know what you mean. After my PS3 phat YLODed on me, I had to buy a PS3 slim and now, I think, the HDMI port of the PS3 is busted. It's freakin' me out and my parents want to move it to their room every once in a while to watch movies. Even if it's not on, I think moving it will shake a few things inside. I try to not to bring it with me on flights as much as possible. The PS3 is a great investment but it's an expensive investment for me to pay for again and again.\ I feel like I can't enjoy it as much.

@jcopp72

@T_0_D

Thanks guys. I guess I could try the HDMI Cable, the console update or any possibility. I do have the latest firmware update for the PS3 and I found out my HDTV does have firmware and can be updated, just don't know how it would help. If this keeps up, I guess I have to bring the PS3 to a Customer Care center... Stupid inspection fee. At least the HDMI cable is cheap compared to more problems that the Customer Care center can come up with and thankfully, my HDTV is still under warranty.

About the HDMI cable, when the TV tries to connect I get flashes of blue and pink, but I think that's just the PS3 and the TV trying to connect to each other but just end up "unsupported..." But I think you're right, my HDMI cable seems to be fine and the picture was awesomely great I had no flickering but now there's just no video and audio. Just a note if this may add to the problem; a while ago I accidently nudged the HDMI cable and it came off the port. I put it back in and couldn't detect a signal and I had to plug it back in then restart the PS3 and then it was A-OK.

Also to ask, the HDMI cable is just like a very "high-tech" composite cable, yeah? It doesn't carry anything apart from the wires inside and the ports of the PS3 and TV are the ones that do the emitting and receiving.

Thanks again, guys. Greatly appreciate the replies.

Hello. My first time posting in the PlayStation 3 forum and was hoping to have my first post to be more contributing than this but I really need help.

Just yesterday, I experienced an "unsupported video format" with my HDTV which was connected to my PS3 Slim by HDMI. I have tried holding the power button for five/ten seconds for it to go red, green then red again to restart the video format which actually worked... yesterday. Today, I turned on my PS3 and it happened again. So, I tried to reset and format the video settings but it didn't work this time. I tried the AV composite (component?) and HDMI at the same time but sometimes it wouldn't detect an HDMI connection on the AV "channel" and if it did it would just tell me "unsupported... etc.".

I need help. Do I keep trying the method above? Does my HDTV need a firmware update? Is it most likely my HDMI cable, which came free with the HDTV? Do I need to set something on the TV and/or the PS3?

My HDTV is a Philips 32 inch, model no.: 32PFL5609D/30, If it helps in anyway. I heard about Philips' TVs and their "handshake" with PS3 or something has a problem. I don't fully understand this yet.
