@GunEye: Totally agree. It was worst MGS ever made. I don't give a s**t about how optimized (because there is nothing to render in damn whole map) game it was. MGSV is simply copied most gameplay elements from MGS PW but PW is way better of course. MGSV is mediocre game, nothing less nothing more.

@Hoodieninja86: Yes, Witcher 3 was not repetitive at all compared to MGS5.

Even if they developed an engine from scratch it's still doesn't explain were the all that money goes to. It's still much money for a two empty game map. Kojima should play a lot GTA, Red Dead Redemption and of course Witcher 3 to learn what does open world means. Actually as a MGS fan, I wouldn't ask for open world like this if I know it's gonna be like this.

In case of Del Toro, If he hate Konami that so much and still making amazing works so why do he bother with Silent Hills name. Isn't that good opportunity to get revenge from Konami by doing almost same project but other than 'Silent Hills' title?

Anyway, I think it's just ridiculous to see a world class director/writer making childish statements like this all the time. Even if Konami did a bad decision here, it doesn't fair to hunting them like a witch. He better keep going because Konami did tons of amazing games than his entire movie career. Witch hunters should ask Google "list of Konami games" and be ashamed with their bad words and actions.

@hecatonchires: Game engine has almost nothing to do with gameplay, it's up to gameplay programmers skill. People keeps praise the MGS5 for good optimisation and actually it was, because there is nothing complex/intensive scenery in the game.

What's that all fuss about!? Is Del Toro out of stock of creative writing skill?! Because looks like he is, according his latest poor movies... So why not just make a game like Silent Hills and call it other than Silent Hills. Names doesn't matter if it's the only pain in their a s s e s.

On the other hand Kojima spent alot money ($80 Million, keep in mind Witcher 3 also cost same amount of money) and resources for making MGS5. He spent $80 Million for shallow game world, poor amount of game assets, repeitive as hell missions, ripped off contents according to his previous brilliant MGS games and then, he couldn't finish it properly...

I love Kojima works and his perfection but I believe he beated by his own pride. Everyone knows that Konami financially is not its shiny days like 90's so Kojima as a game designer, failed to adapting his company's poor conditions. In the end, Konami was faulty but Kojima was faulty as much as Konami. He just crying like a baby boy but still didn't make a single statement about what the heck was happen back in MGS5 development that f*cked up everything. He owe us a good goddamn explanation instead crying all the time.

@Daian: Wii U failed with marketing for sure but that doesn't means it wasn't fun to play with. It's still has good enough game library... Can't tell how successful would be Swith, time will tell that but I believe there will be plenty of good games.
