@mems_1224: The Switch has continued to outpace the Xbox One, and will presumably continue to do so for the foreseeable future on the back of nothing but its exclusives, while the Xbox One will fall behind with all its industry wide third party support and multiplatform games. Will exclusives still not matter without strong third party support then?
As for PS4 selling more right from the beginning, have you forgotten that:
Did the PS4 being more powerful have to do with it selling well? Of course it did, but it wasn't the only thing, exclusives did and continue to matter even now. To use your own statement, modified, against you, 'yes, power matters, but only when you have compelling exclusives backing it up.'
Xbox does not.
The Switch can sell all it wants. Doesn't make it a better console. Unless you're going to argue that the Wii was a better console than the 360, in which case you're just being a blind fanboy at that point because the 360 objectively has more and better games. The Switch is a good side bitch if you already play games on a real console. That doesn't make it better than the Xbox.
Compelling exclusives is entirely subjective.
A better console is defined by having better games
Games not available on Switch and available on Xbox One using your "objective" metric:
I could go on and on. You're right, The Xbox One is objectively a better console when you look at the games. Shall we run down the upcoming games from this year available on both as well?

@charizard1605: What's your point? If exclusives meant everything then Nintendo wouldn't have had to dump the Wii U. Exclusives are needed to a degree but they don't mean everything.
Q: If exclusives mattered, the Wii U wouldn't have flopped!
A: Clever, not clever enough. The Wii U flopped because no one gave a shit about the exclusives it had- and the 14 million it sold worldwide it sold only because of those exclusives, because those exclusives were the only games it had. Related: the 68 million selling Nintendo 3DS has sold that much on the back of nothing but its exclusives. The PS4 has outsold the Xbox One 2:1 worldwide, and it sure as hell has not done that on the back of games that can also be played on Xbox One. Exclusives matter, they dry hardware, maybe not individually, but in aggregate, and they generate depth for library, and a shit ton of sales for the games themselves as well (Uncharted 4 has sold 8.5 million units worldwide; Mario Kart 8 sold 8.2 million units worldwide).
the PS4 outsold the Xbox from the very start of the gen when it had a much weaker exclusive lineup. It was actually in fact sold on the back of games that could be played on the xbox one, or have you already forgotten how everyone jerked off to resolutions at the start of the gen? Nice revisionist history though. Exclusives matter when you have strong third party support. Yes, the Switch has a couple of excluisves worth playing and when it comes to exclusives its had a better year than MS so far but other than that its an inferior console in every objective way.
thats nice and all but it also has fewer games worth playing so who cares?
