@LunarEclipz: That is nice, but me personally I'd really want more of an rpg or arpg and maybe an original character you make with the story centered around you and the cast more of a supporting character

Yeah, I mean I play those "arena fighters" but while those may have been ok, there's just so much wasted gaming potential for these.. For starters, they haven't made an rpg or arpg game yet of these with an original story centered on a character you create (in MHA/Naruto create your own power/kekkei genkai maybe?)

Everytime a new game is teased I get all hopeful but yeah still nothing that scratches that cool adventure in the world of that Anime I really like :(

@Tangsta03: FF7 is pretty big though, I think of it more like the Mass Effect Trilogy (squished into one it could be as lengthy as FF7) or the dot hack series

I would have preferred to have the remake as one big package but, like the folks in DQB2 said "Three small projects are a lot more manageable than one big complicated one"

End of the day, when the final product(s) come out, we can see if it was worth splitting it into parts (whether or not corners were still cut)

@mcnichoj: I'll give you the subscription, but copying your save data doesn't, mean that that game you bought on stadia can still be played if stadia goes down.. you'll have to re-buy it on another platform (in this case you also need to consider compatibility of the save file on another platform)...

that's IF the industry doesnt decide to just shift to full streaming after this

Edit: And no they didn't answer the topic question "What Happens If Google Stadia Shuts Down?", they danced around it sure, answered? no, it was about as clear as "no, maybe, i dunno, sure, why not, whatevs" They clearly know the answer (you lose the game you bought, save files, which is not the game but a save file which is useless without you buying the game again on another platform, be damned) but also know that people are gonna yell at them so they decided to dodge the question

I like how he dodges the question by essentially saying "What are you talking about? Haha forget about it! Our team is hard at work to make sure launch goes smoothlly! Oh and here's some other things to talk about!"

Since the stadia team are clearly not gonna answer it, here it it is, if stadia shuts down, you obviously wont be able to play your stadia games that you payed full price for despite them saying we're like netflix subscription except you still pay full price for game ON TOP of the stadia subscription fee... SMFH

edit of an edit: this is in no way good for the consumers, good for the companies because they get more money from you and google gets a subscription fee so win win... except the gamers of course

Stable framerate @ 30fps? Sign me up, if it can’t pull that off then I’ll have to pass on this.. 540p on a handheld doesnt bother me, bad framerate does (why i returned my Story of Seasons 3DS) :)

@Bread_or_Decide: oh no you didn't!! Haha JK

First off I never said 30-60 is bad im saying there was more value for me with the other games

And well designed games with an interesting story? Yeah I do kind of expect to spend a lot of time with it, again gameplay can only do so much for you before it becomes stale and repetitive, a good story and not some generic motivation as an end goal, it what keeps people invested and a mixture of both good gameplay and story leads to those games that you end up playing for hours on end. and just adding to the above game i listed having 200+ hrs, Perona 4 golden(600), persona 5(300) there are a few others i could check my steam, ps4

Ill give u XcX, story didnt appeal to everyone though personally I liked it and am looking forward to XcX2

Just to be clear, im not calling the games you like crap. All im saying is that the games that have an interesting story+ good gameplay tend to get people invested in them. Which is why Im also playing a wait and see game for Destiny 3

@Bread_or_Decide: I dont think so, for me personally, a good story is the motivation. An example of a game with good gameplay, great fun to be had with a poor story for me would be just cause 3.

JC3 had the gameplay fun stuff and a motivation "free the island, beat the despot" and while I did clock in at 60+hrs in that game, I never finished the story and now im playing a wait and see game for the 4th one. Doom? 30 hrs and I wont be getting the next one

The Witcher 3? 340+hrs of gameplay, bought all dlcs(2 of them) and really champing at the bit for the next witcher installment (day one purchase even without geralt), Xenoblade Chronicles X? 1600+ hrs (no thats not a typo) and Im also excited for the next one... even a port for the switch :)

That kind of fulfillment gets players invested, gameplay can only do so much before it becomes stale. Not saying it isnt important, im saying an equal balance is needed. That and sometimes its not enough to hold a chocolate covered carrot infront of the bunny to keep it running.

Honestly the whole "all you need is some generic motivation" is probably more something a publisher would say (looking at you EA)

@Bread_or_Decide: can't say I agree as that sort of thinking gets used a lot by people trying to justify dropping single player stories/campaigns in games (Looking at you Black Ops 4)

While stories in games aren't academy award winning (the academy/oscar awards are overrated) by the film industry standards (also overrated) it's still something a lot of gamers look forward to

@dmblum1799: I don't think anyone was making a big deal about her gender.... haven't scrolled that far down the comments yet but so far, you're the only one who brought that up...

Kettle to pot? :)

Edit: Also just to add that if you think that "Macho Difficulty blah blah bleh" rant only happens with male gamers, then you probably need to fire up that flux capacitor and get yourself out of the 1900s... or just meet some of the more hardcore female gamers of the video game community :P
