Judging by a large portion of comments it is clear many have never played the original let alone remember the story. As a 30 year old who played the original when it came out there really hasn’t been one eye roll moment, one disappointing story direction. Nothing. I’m 30 hours iin on chapter 13 out of 18 and I’ve loved every chalet so far.

@Keitha313: I don't agree with run on sentence after run on sentence in your "review." It also sounds to me like your attention span might be a bit to short to Keep up with the story. This game isn't, nor has the franchise ever been, structured like a GTA game. It's more about the authenticity, the atmosphere and story that makes these games memorable. The problem with most reviewers and users these days is that they are always trying to compare a game to another one and setting unrealistic expectations. It's like saying, ok GTA set the bar, and if the next open world game doesn't have AT LEAST EVERYTHING Grand Theft Auto has and then some, then it's a bust.

@noirtenshin: Who tf plays with vsync on pc? I very rarely use it because it introduces a very noticeable input lag compared to vsync on console.

@mattji104: If you have strong enough hardware to even get close to that, then no there's nothing stopping you, but being that 1080'she are struggling with this game in some areas, I'd say it ain't gonna happen till they patch it. That is unless you lower some settings and run at 1080p then MAYBE YOU could

I live Digital Foundry. No one compares in terms of analysis on video game performance, but I feel like they're not getting to the root issue which is clearly optimization and or file encryption issues. They really need to monitor the CPU and see where the resources are going. The game is making my CPU perform really strange which is in turn bottlenecking my GPU. I disabled the first core of my CPU to more evenly disperse load on the other 7 cores and then set the priority level of the game under task manager to low and magically almost never broke 60fps at 4k Ultra on a GTX 1070, but then then when I run it with all cores and normal priority it breaks down and stutters inot the 45-60 range and sometimes the low 30's.

Instead of pinpointing it, everyone is just saying screw optimization you just need better hardware. No, I'm sorry that's not how it works.

@rosinmonkekyx17: actually, what he's saying is the truth. He's an embarrassment to the gaming culture. Always being worried about frame rate and resolution instead of actually playing great games. People get consumed with this crap. When Rise of the Tomb Raider came out on Xbox One I didn't care that the remastered version of their first game was 60fps on my PS4. I didn't wait to see if the PS4 version in a year would be 60fps, hell I didn't wait 6 months to surely play it on my very capable pc. No I bought it day one on X1 because I knew if it was anything like the last game I'd love it. And what do you know, I play it just as much as I would any other game.

@flames325: maybe your player was stuttering or something because it looks like it controls like every other Uncharted game has. It is about 4 months away though so they have time to Polish it. The graphics looked good and it's running at 60fps

@albertojedi: you've always had to have a paid subscription to play online multi-player. What are you thinking? As far as preloading, i don't recall there ever being a DEMO that you could.
