But then in saying that I can't off the top of my head name a company that has openly allowed people to use exploits even with knowledge of it being abused.

There is a reason its an exploit or a glitch, simply put everygame has at least one somewhere and always will because they can't possibly check every little single thing and even then it might be a one off thing that happens with a patch for example.

Either way, its hard to have 'hindsight' with something you can't possibly predict.

@sgreen79 I agree that its to soon to jump the band-wagon on this one however due to the amount of MMO's released with big titles are generally just World Of Warcraft in the sense that they're very basic but with lets say, one or two added things that change it up.

Its easy to see why people think it will fail however it does have something good going for it, its been in production for a few years meaning three things:

1. Graphically it should be playable on most computers meaning a wider audience, not that this isn't something most MMO's do anyway and if you play Skyrim well you can bloody-well handle an MMO.

2. Because of its long development its had a chance to see what has worked/failed for other developers when it comes to MMO's and espeically for this year and the last two alone it can see what other MMO are doing to capture a greater audience.

3. They have a very good oppertunity to make something profoundly unique with the franchise name, if they utilze the combat system into a multiplayer setting (something along the lines of Tera for example) then it could potentially be a massive success. (also assuming the rest of the game was done right and didn't blow chunks)

SO, in essence I agree however I do have a poor outlook on the game at this time however that isn't set in stone, my view on it could change rapidly depending on how they go about it.

@s5s5stan @Ridgeblader @mtktx1 Oh and no, they do not have any advertisments in the either Guild Wars or Guild Wars 2 and to my knowledge never have or will.

@s5s5stan @Ridgeblader @mtktx1 The way they gain money is by making the game free after you've made a single purchese of the game, which is usually pretty cheap, As well as this they have microtransacution (in-game store for items in-game of course) and no, I know what your thinking "so its pay2pwn?" no its not, the items you buy are either just for aesthetics (appearance) or to help out a little with levelling and so on.

In Guild Wars 2 they took it one step beyond and now you can swap in-game gold for 'gems' which is the microstransaction currency meaning you NEVER have to buy gems with real money unless you just want it quicker and easier.

Its a fair system for those who both have money and don't.
