You’ve failed to make meaningful innovations in either hardware or software for years now, which has resulted in you losing your market share and subsequently falling down the rabbit hole of price-based selling as seen with your more economic line of iPhones and significant price drops on iPads and Apple Watches.
Wake up and get your crap together. This is one of the most moronic mandates I’ve ever heard. Xcloud/Game Pass as a service is literally no different than the Amazon Music and HBO Max services I subscribe to- both of which are competitors to your Apple Music and Apple TV services that I don’t subscribe to.
I’m sick and tired of your blatantly obvious attempts at forcing people to purchase content through third party apps. I can’t buy kindle books through the Amazon app, I can’t buy audiobooks through the Audible app. You are actively targeting competitors- in this case Amazon- in a poor attempt to drive consumer purchase behavior in a way that’s more favorable to you. All it does is piss us off.
Now you’re doing the same with another competitor- Microsoft. Why not quit this crap and regain the support of the community? You failed to see the trends with the services model, and since you can’t catch up, you’re actively making it a worse experience for those of us who want to take advantage of these services.
I’ve been an Apple fanboy for a long time. Surprisingly, I used to HATE Apple before I was forced to use an iPhone and iPad for work then realized how much better their devices were. I then jumped on the bandwagon and haven’t looked back...until now.
Unfortunately for Apple, their competitors have caught up and/or surpassed them. Your best bet is to support what your community is asking for rather than sticking it to us.
Here’s to hoping we get a Batman collection release on Switch announced either at DC Fandom or Nintendo Direct. I’d take any of the Arkham games on Switch, including Blackgate! We need more than just the telltale games.
This is a huge blow to their hardware sales for this year, and a concerning sign after what we saw with delays from their first party games such as Crackdown.
I’m a huge Halo fan and will always buy Microsoft consoles so long as Halo continues to exist, but as an owner of an Xbox One X, I don’t see myself upgrading until there’s a killer app such as Halo that I want to play at the absolute highest technical level.
I still have faith in Phil’s direction with Xbox, but this one hurts since it’s been so long since we’ve had a mainline Halo release, and also because the gameplay reveal from last month looked excellent.
Make fun of Mohammed? Get cancelled. Make fun of Jesus. Continue as normal. Give me a break. South Park makes fun of everyone and that’s fine. To selectively remove just these Mohammad episodes is ridiculous.
I genuinely believe Fable is in development. Microsoft took a clear “pillar” mode with their first party titles, meaning they wanted a defacto game in each genre- FPS, third-person shooter, racing, RPG etc. The core games were always Halo, Gears, Forza and Fable. Still to this day, they haven’t filled that RPG genre, and Fable is one of their most recognizable and beloved brands.
That said, I also believe that this is a new venture for Playground Games, and Phil Spencer has been willing to give developers more than their fair share of time to complete games. I suspect Fable just isn’t ready to show yet, and it would also steal some of the spotlight from Halo. We may get a teaser, but I think this isn’t a reveal that’s coming until 2021.
Let’s hope I’m wrong though. Microsoft needs to pull out its entire arsenal this year to compete. It was clear they lost last gen due to a lack of focus on games, which Phil is clearly resolving with all their recent acquisitions.
It seems everyone raced to have open worlds and seemingly endless content to justify the cost of their game, but my fondest memories are of the tight-knit games that pick a punch in the 8-16 hour range. I just finished Control today, and it reminded me not only how much I love all Remedy games, but how I wish there were more games in that same vein where it focused on fast, fun, and fluid mechanics with a heavy narrative focus and doesn’t get lost in endless grinding or micro management of your character and teammates, which bog games down to me and now I actively avoid games if they’re 20+ hours long because odds are, I’m not going to finish it, and I hate the feeling of incomplete games sitting in my collection.
i probably wouldn't be able to notice a difference if the game's were in motion. ps3 and 360 are marginally different and the pc is only slightly better.
and even though the pc wins in pretty much all these comparisons, i think you would be hard pressed to pinpoint the differences in real life while the games were being played in motion...they are simply to close
