since when has a beta EVER been significantly different than release? never, from all of the betas i have experienced. they will not change fundamental aspects of the game from the beta, so this is likely how the game will be. this excuse gets used ALL THE TIME, and the person using it is ALWAYS wrong when the final game comes out.Crucifier

Having played the Beta I have to say...it felt like a "generic" first person shooter... it looks good, plays ok but nothing special. I cancelled my preorder.

Halo Reach is the ONLY first person shooter I plan on buying for the rest of 2010!

a) take away HOST advantages (big time)

b) make finding ranked matches FASTER (anyone remember what the first 6 weeks was like in Gears 2?)

I'm not sold on it... I don't find you get good value for your $$$. They are charging way too much for very little benefit. Because I own multiple systems, Xbox Live is more than enough for me.

i agree, if i wanted fees i would of bought a 360 as for the free games i already have them so i see no point to getting doubles that will be suspended when i stop paying. also if i ever stop paying anything i got with the disscount will be suspended so im gona just pay full price

Yea but $50 is a small price to pay for plenty of free games and betas. I mean come on once a year. It isn't even as much as a new game.

Paying for 1 hour demos and betas??? Puh-lease...thanks but not thanks.... The cost justification is there for Xbox Live because of the awesome online options and superior online MP but not for PSN Plus. I don't want to turn this into a "systems wars" post but because I have both systems, XBL is so much better than what Sony is trying to put out there.

I do however love my PS3 for their exclusives, I also prefer their dashboard and the Blu-Ray player.

I bought the 12 month subscription + 3 bonus months, total of 15 months for $50. Over the course of that 15 months, I will, at a minimum, get 15 psn games, 15 ps1 classic games and 30 minis. A total of 60 games, at a minimum. No way you can tell me that it's not worth $50 for 60 games, not even accounting for the avatars/themes/discounts/auto downloads/other exclusives......

ok, well...maybe when the free games are actually GOOD, that might spark my interest...until then....

I'm actually not really enthusiastic about any of the "big" FPS being released this holiday season (Halo Reach, Medal of Honor or COD Black Ops). I guess I'll keep playing BF Bad Company 2 MP, unless I see articles or videos that can convince me otherwise.

I played the Medal of Honor beta and it felt very generic at best...nothing special.

Halo Reach? There's no doubt that the quality will be there but Halo has never really been one of my favorite FPS.

[QUOTE="KC_Hokie"]I'm not a big Halo fan. Games like Mafia 2, Two Worlds 2, Medal of Honor, Fallout New Vegas, FEAR 3, Star Wars Force Unleashed 2, Gothic 4, Max Payne 3 and Crysis 2, to name a few, interest me far more.ClassicGamerH20

Mafia 2 and Two Worlds 2 are top of my list as well.

I would choose Assassin's Creed 2 from the list provided. None of the FPS games like Halo Reach, COD Black Ops or Medal of Honor really interests me. It's a lot of the same to me....

Be careful being excited for two worlds 2 we all remember what the first game was like

I agree 100%! Despite the obvious graphical glitches in presentation, terrible voice acting, I was still able to enjoy the original one. The massive world, customization options and variety of enemies kept me going....
