@mtait01 - I agree with you 100%. The gaming industry seems to have this feeling of self-entitlement that they like to hold over its consumers....like their industry is so much better than movies or books...which never tried to ban sales of used dvds or books. It's ridiculous!
I'll simply play my PS3 and 360 for longer... a couple of years even after the new consoles are released. I've got a huge backlog of games to play. :) Either way, console manufacturers and game publishers are alienating gamers with their practices...it's not good for the industry.
@timoteo2k1 - come on... everyone has access to gameplay footage through Gamespot, youtube, etc..."the lie that you got" ??? Since when do we base our purchasing decisions on one trailer? A fool and his money are soon parted I guess.
The Dead Island trailer was genius...and the game was damn good! I don't think that the gametrailer for it misrepresented the game at all...and for Gamespot to indicate this, is irresponsible. The DI trailer showed a family in a hotel resort location, zombies and some of the weapons used in the game. How does this misrepresent the game? What a waste of an article....
