How are you going to know how it ends? You usually know about a game months in advance before you buy it. You should know what you're expecting. Even if the the game is rated poorly (Mercenaries 2), I still pick it up because I'm a fan of the franchise. Sometimes, in the case of Ratchet and Clank Future, the game is awesome despite the low grade. If you're going to spend $60 on a game, you better finish it.
Download the Stranglehold domo from the PSN and see if you like it. Army of Two is only good if you're playing online with a friend. Rainbow Six Vegas should be the way to go for you.
