I wonder if these are going to be a continuation of the story, rather than a straight remake of the novels? A large part of the tale was life/time/ka as a wheel...

I did hear the TV series would be based around Wizard & Glass though.

I personally found the originals were just ok. They were not best in class at any one thing they tried to do, but a well presented collection of solid gameplay elements. What kept me going right through all three titles was the investment I made in the characters, otherwise the repetitive gameplay might have stopped me long before the end.

@dorog1995: Yeah, I know what you mean - the sneaking in V did feel a little easy/boring at times once you got a few upgrades (like silent shoes!). Snake eater got the balance of story/gameplay perfectly imo and the stealth felt more of a challenge, sneaking around trying not to get shot by The End is still my favourite section in the whole series.

@Bread_or_Decide: totally agree, the best stealth games give you the option to do it how you want - V does that perfectly imo.

For all those complaining MGSV wasn't a stealth game like the older ones... the 'Solid' series has always used the tag 'Tactical Espionage Action'... kind of a clue that it's not pure stealth. V had the best gameplay of the whole series for me personally.

Anywho, in regards to this I'd just love to get the completed story missions axed from the initial release - the story was complete garbage but it might help a little.

Then I'd like a remake of Metal Gear, with David Hayter back as Snake and Sutherland as Big Boss for an open world Zanzibar incident. Konami have the engine and gameplay mechanics in place, the story is already sorted so c'mon!

Never played TP, but will try and pick it up (still have my wii kicking around).

For me, Zelda should have stayed 2d (or at beast 2.5d). Admittedly, some of the dungeons and boss battles have been stunning in the 3d environments, but the worlds have always felt a little sparse and charmless (and have aged terribly compared to their older counterparts).

@NoHyperbolePlz Yes, I use them (a PL wifi extender) at the moment the PS3 is plugged via ethernet into one and it works great. The PL only drops a couple of MBS from the router speed.

More than enough for gaming if you have a half decent connection.

@yeah_28 @superbuuman Agreed, and even RE4 was too action oriented in the final acts - the opening hours are stunning though. Dead Space 1 got it spot on as well IMO.

For me the replay value of GZ makes it well worth the money. For those saying it's a demo down to length, I've already spent longer in it than 2 full play throughs of ICO (a full price game & genuine masterpiece).

But I do have to say that releasing GZ now feels a little like a way for Konami to promote the Fox Engine to potential suitors.

@pyro1245 @carolino @Flynwar Well said, bungie used to make games on Mac (check out Marathon) before being bought into MS game studios umbrella.
