You won't notice a difference b/t 720 and 1080 unless your TV is big enough -- probably 40" or more.

well I'm not going to be installing a lot of stuff.

I'm going to use it to play games online and off, download the occasional arcade game and demos, and the Cod4 mappack.
nothing major. I will also delete demos after a week or so.

That's basically what I do, and I've never come close to filling my 20g harddrive.

I think you'd like Mass Effect even if you're not normally into RPGs. It's really more of a hybrid game, a combination of RPG and third-person shooter. Haven't played through AC yet, just the first couple of levels, then put it aside. Plan to finish it someday, but was a bit too slow to capture my attention yet.

Quake 4 -- GS gave it a 6.6, mostly from slowdown problems, which were nowhere near as bad as they said.

I just got my 360 a month ago, started with the cheap games. I got Condemned, really enjoyed it, though it started off pretty slow -- stick with it, it gets much better about 1/3 of the way through. I just finished Crackdown, VERY addicting, tons of fun, highly recommended. Perfect Dark Zero is very cheap these days. Maybe the Darkness, only played the demo, but heard good things about it.

NO big reason, I'm just generally bored by military shooters, plus I like sci fi in general.

I just finished the first one, LOVED it. Started out slow, but got stronger wtih each level. Made me jump out of my seat a few times -- I scared my wife (sitting on the other end of the couch reading) yelling out loud here and there. Get it, you won't be disappointed.

[QUOTE="kreider204"][QUOTE="polarwrath11"]From what everyone said i would go for crackdown. Saints Row isn't that great anymore. I loved crackdown. The Achievements in crackdown are SO fun and the RPG elements like levelling up and the agility orb locations make it one of the best single player experiences I have had. And co-op for that matter.Ventric

I second that. The RPG elements make the free-roaming worth doing -- you explore to find power-ups and mini-games that increase your abilities, which in turn make the game even more fun.
