Well yeah extremities aren't good either, just saying as a rule of thumb. It's good to be within a certain percentage.

Well first, fat percentage and fat free mass are part of your body's composition (seems like a silly question). Fat percentage relates to your BMI (body mass index), which just tells you what percentage of fat you have in your body's composition. If you exceed a certain percentage, you're considered obese. Obesity has countless health risks, heart disease and diabetes being two well known problems. Fat free mass can be thought of as lean muscle. Having more lean muscle is usually correlated with a lower BMI, so to answer your question in the simplest way - more fat free mass = good health, high fat percentage = poor health.

Bad and good things happen to everyone. Look for the lesson behind everything. If you're suggesting that only good things happen to good people, and bad things to bad people, then you're asking for favoritism, not equality.

Yeah I definitely need silence when I'm trying to concentrate. I don't understand these people that try to get work done at Starbucks or any other noisy coffee shop. I understand you own a MacBook, but I promise you - nobody cares.

Iced double latte is my usual. I have been known to go for straight shots and macchiatos though. I've been meaning to buy a coffee grinder so I can buy some whole bean coffee from the place I frequent.krazykillaz
If you want better coffee go for the burr grinder, never the blade.

AeroPress!

I actually didn't even know about this. But it still seems rather similar to a regular coffee maker in that water is simply passing through the grounds. It seems like an interesting alternative to an espresso machine though.

None, I despise coffee, I hate the taste and the smell of it. Also I don't think all that caffeine can be good for you...Toph_Girl250
On the contrary, coffee is quite good for you in moderation. Obviously too much can lead to insomnia, which has obvious negative consequences. Check out this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTVE5iPMKLg

[QUOTE="krazykarl0419"]

[QUOTE="mindstorm"] Using the term Grande tends to give it away. :Pmindstorm

Lol very true.  I used to drink a lot of Starbucks, but as my taste has evolved, I feel like they roast their beans way too dark.  How is their "blonde" roast?

While it is not what I usually drink myself, I was pleasantly surprised by it when it first came out. I have found that the actual roast of a coffee is irrelevant to me so long as the quality is good and it has a lower acidic taste. As such, I tend to stay away from coffees like the Pike's Place and Kenya because of the acidic overtones.

However, I have found that though the Blonde Roast does not have the same robust earthy or smokey taste that I have grown accustomed to with the Sumatra and Italian Roasts, I very much do like the Blonde coffees. This is especially true of the Willow Blend as it does seem to be a little less acidic. However, the Blonde Roast favorite of my co-workers is the Veranda (usually what is offered as the Blonde on a daily basis). They are calm and not quite so overbearing yet still are of good quality.

Hmm I'll have to give it a try. Sumatra actually used to be my go to roast, but I now find the smokiness of it to be overwhelming. I think too dark of a roast eliminates the natural sweetness and subtle undertones of a good coffee. I now prefer a more medium roast, like the El Salvador I mentioned before - its sweet undertones make you appreciate the beans more than the roast. This is not to say dark roasts have no flavor, I just find light to medium roasts retain most of their natural flavors.

Also make my own iced coffee.  The key to a great iced coffee is cold-brewing overnight and french pressing.  Obviously a very time consuming method, but worth it to me!
