Hell no.. I had fun with MGS5 but..

- Witcher 3 >>> MGS5

- Fallout New Vegas >>> MGS5

- Hell, even Divinity Original Sin 2 >>> MGS5

Sure I am forgetting some other open world games that are much better.

75 hours I have on the game now, just loving it :)

What a friggin game! Again, Witcher 3 and fallout New vegas are probably the only modern rpgs I can put up there with this game. As much as I loved other modern crpgs like Pillars, Torment, Wasteland 2 and Divinity OS1, Divinity Original Sin 2 hits it out of the park. Brings back the elements I love in crpgs but then also improves SO MUCH more. This is not just an rpg for crpg fans but for rpg fans in general, near rpg perfection!

I am excited for this! I LOVED the demo! Got to try it on pc and xbox one, was alot of fun! Loved the changing of the weather and I REALLY liked that Fog they added, it was intense!

Very busy playing Divinity Original Sin 2 atm, so will probably get this along with Elex later in Oct.

I think it will get a 8 or a 9 on gamespot, it is one of the most consistent series out there in all of gaming imo.

Fortnite is much better in PVE setting with a few friends. The BR PvP experience does not fit the game and its base building style mechanics at all. Cool it is free though for people to try out. It is not a Pubg killer though in any way.

The lone aspect it does better than PUBG is that it runs better, nothing else.

GOTY and one of the best rpgs of all time. I have 70 hours on the game now, still loving it to bits. Nothing this year is even close, as much as I loved Battlegrounds, Torment, Prey and Zelda.. none of them compare to the total package that is Divinity Original Sin 2. This is how you make an rpg!!!

If any game of the last while deserves 10/10 it is this game, well done Larian. I have liked Larian since Divine Divinity many years ago, I am so glad they are now doing well and getting the credit they deserve.

@kozzy1234: glad to hear, definitely looking forward to playing it soon!

Out of curiosity, I heard a few people complaining about that all enemies having both magic defense and physical defense, that you have to destroy in order to do actual damage to them. Meaning that one enemy might be a zero physical defense and 2/100 hp but still be at full magic defense so if your mage throw a fireball at him he won't die since it will only do damage to the magic defense? Therefore rendering mixed( melee and magic) parties pointless.....

There is magic armor yes. I don't have the nitty gritty of all that kind of stuff but, I do notice two kinds of armor on enemies, one magic and one normal armor as I see it. I just go crazy with my attacks from everyone and first there armors go down then the health, I havn't had anything as severe as you mention though as far as rendering your melee party useless. I have a mix of of a party, one offensive wizard, one healing wizard (has some other magic to attack to), A ranger and a melee guy up front. It is not a huge deal overall, just go out and explore a ton, talk to everyone and just open yourself up to enjoy some great adventures! Maybe someone else can speak on the exact way the armors work but thats my take on it, I hit em with everything I got and the two armors go down then goes the health (the armors seem to not take to long for me to take down so far). Sorry for the long post, it is late and I wasn't to sure how to answer this question to be honest as I am not 100% sure, I just know it hasn't been a big issue with me, my party goes to work on enemies no matter how much or what type of armor they have.

Well I've read a few reviews now and really can't wait to play it. It sounds like they addressed the biggest issues from the first game (story, dialogue, voice acting) and went to town on making the quests even bigger and better. Really excited to play this game now.

These are the best improvements without a doubt! (writing of the dialogue, characters and story and the wonderful surprise of the great voice acting. I love that the voice work doesn't sound like 5 people doing all the voices in the game like some other rpgs, each sounds pretty unique to me so far. Enjoy the adventures!

I have not posted on here in ages, but I had to for this game.

It is simply amazing! For me it brings the same joy that some modern rpgs like Witcher 3, Dragon Age Origins and Fallout New Vegas brought to me. Nearly everything is improved from the first game. I beat the last Original Sin game and I enjoyed it but it was lacking in the writing of the characters, dialogue and story, those elements are much better in this game! Even the combat somehow is improved, there is much more customization for classes/characters, the voice acting is great, there are so many ways to do the missions,etc.. what a game!

Battlegrounds, Prey and Torment: Tides Of Numenera are the 3 games I enjoyed the most this year up until this game, it is without a doubt my GOTY, simply amazing in so many ways. This is one of those rpgs that comes up once in awhile, very good in all elements. Will gamespot give it GOTY? I doubt it but, it sure is the most fun I have had all year.

I am loving it so far, I have the last battle to do and I will be done.

Some of the best writing in years, infact might be my favorite writing since Mask Of The Betrayer and Planscape Torment. The combat needs some work but it does have some cool ideas, some stuff works well in the combat and others not so well.

I also love the art design and the game world design, I find myself exploring every inch of the game and also talking to every single person as the dialogue is so well written and interesting. All the great writing and the game world has just totally pulled me in.

So far it has the best writing of the cRPG resurgence but also some of the weakest combat (thankfully you can beat the game with doing as little combat as you want). In the end it is right up there with the other modern crpgs I have enjoyed such as Divinity Original Sin, Pillars, Tyranny, Shadowrun Hong Kong and Wasteland 2.

Yes it has alot of reading but if you allow yourself to be pulled in, it is quite the experience. Despite a slow start, it really has pulled me in as I said above.

I really didn't have much fun when I played on my own but when I tried with some friends it really was a blast. I won't get it right away but I will keep an eye on it and get it in a few months when a friend or two picks it up so I can do coop with them. And of course once these Science Fiction rpgs are finished with (Torment and ME:A), as I am an rpg fiend :)

Felt like a console version of arma mixed with farcry, which isn't really a bad thing. Sure I would love a tactical GR game as I loved the first one and its expansion pack, but this seems like a fun and funny coop game to mess around on with friends. Can sit back and have some fun with this one without taking it to serious.

The biggest issues for me was it was to easy and most the vehicles handled like CRAP. Now Heli's and bikes handled cool and the airplane seemed better (my friend was flying that one not me), but all the other vehicles handled very badly. Still not a huge issue as I can see myself using bikes and helis 90% of the time anyways. I also wish it handled a tad slower when you are going to move around, its abit on the fast side.

One I look forward to playing IF or WHEN my friends get it, the solo play really did NOTHING for me, where as the coop with a mate was a good deal of silly, semi tactical fun.
