Ok, now so i guess its nitpicking time on Borderlands. I am a big fan and to me this is one if not one of the best FPS series of all times. Its not Halo or Mass Effect but its hours upon hours upon hours of mindless fun. What Kevin is talking about has been present in the series from the get go. But i guess the reviewers will really nitpick on the game and expose every possible little flaw of the game because it a continuation of the series which cannot be very different. I hate it when reviewers do that. Give high scores on the first game of a franchise then start to nitpick after that and they make the reviews less and less appreciative. Call of duty has suffered from that and to me it seems that reviewers are a bunch of blasé people who will never be satisfied unless the wheel is completely re-invented. I am not trying to defend this game but i am just tired of the attitude of reviewers who do this.

I am sure that the bugs will get fixed which will invalidate a good chunk of the games negative score. I also know that there will probably be a ton of forthcoming dlc's that will enhance the game and make it way better. So in short these kind of scores to me are just BS scores because its not over and done really.

The other problem i have with these reviews is that it affect sales and sales are what drives the industry ( of course ) i was extremely satisfied with the previous game and i am sure that i will be with this one because i know that the studio and publisher would not release something that is not fun but with a review system like this it is hard to have studio be able to sustain their product when these kind of things happen. It would be nice "if" the reviewers would be straight up and tell people that this is a work in progress game because of the dlc's it is probably going to be enhanced in many ways instead of just putting the smack down on it and say that it "might be" just another "meh" game....

I think that a lot of gaming sites have to change their review and rating systems to reflect reality and that scores for base games should be revisited down the road if dlc's improve the game or not... That ways you would get a true sense of the whole picture of what you are getting into. Also a lot of sites with review basically monkey each other and give out the same score with slight wording to make it their own which just shows you how unoriginal the game review system has become.

This game will succeed. This review will probably disappoint the devs and will probably force them to reconsider many aspects of their game which is good but at one point they will probably go

They should at least the decency to try to make this playable offline or give the means to people to make it an offline game. I actually played it and it was a great concept but ruined by microtransactions.

Games are about brainless fun. 99% of the games made so far are about that. There are very few games that inspired a few people when they finished the game to write the next american novel...

Gamers should have the freedom to choose how they use their products. The usage should not be dictated by companies who are trying every which way to stop piracy which is not going to happen anyways. If your company cannot cope with this fact of life i suggest you leave the gaming business and your "online " ideas to other companies who are willing to make products that will suit their need and not yours.

News flash everyone. The game has had major bug issues since the last patch . Lyp synching does not work right and some other bugs have been reported. This has been reported quite a long time ago and Bethesda is keeping silence on this. If you go to the official forums you will get more details on this. So basically if nothing changes the package will be bugged and you will have lost your hard earned money to a buggy game.
