[QUOTE="ChartTopper93"]i keep seeing people saying that they can't wait for it to come out and how it'll sell systems like it's one of the greatest franchises of all time. but it looks like a kids game. can some fans of it just tune in and talk about why they have so much love for this game so i can get interested to. what's so great about it?gamedudeorino
"Kids game". This is coming from a guy with a bugs bunny avitar. I think the majority of people who have played the demohave a positive outlook towards the game.
Seriously, though I have to correct you about Bugs Bunny. He and the rest of the Loony Tunes were never intended as "kiddie." The old Loony Tunes shorts from the 30's-50's were aimed at adults and have tons of adult humor. I mean, look at my avatar. He's shaking a baby for godsakes! You wouldn't see something like that in a cartoon today without infuriating the wrath of soccer moms everywhere.Uh-oh, someone just attacked Miyamoto for being the hack with no new ideas that he is. Poor Insomniac. JocktheMotieNobody attacked anybody. Sheep are just taking things out of context and blowing them out of proportion, because, heaven forbid a developer has wishful thinking that the almighty and untouchable Miyamoto may have been slightly influenced by how a similar concept was pulled off in their game.

That is awesome.
I don't blame Kojima for being inspired by Terminator 1. T1 and T2 are two of the greatest Sci-fi/ action films ever. All Metal Gear was missing were the cyborg assassins and philosophical viewpoints on the human race (those came later).Sigh.That is the box art of the NES Metal Gear, that came well after the original.
The dude who did the NES versions box art ripped off Terminator.
Wasn't that the cover for the MSX2 version too?I think some people are confusing inspiration for stealing (not pertaining to the MG cover). Being inspired by something doesn't mean you are stealing. Being inspired means you take influence from something and it appears in your own work. That's how artists learn and grow in their craft. European artists during the Renaissance were inspired by the art of ancient Greece and Rome. I doubt creative geniuses like Donatello and Da Vinci would have been able to make work of such caliber without exposing themselves to Grecian and Roman art. Characters like Master Chief and Solid Snake were inspired by film and works of science fiction. Nothing wrong with that.[QUOTE="Panzer_Zwei"]Well, Solid Snake clearly improved over this at least:
