It's a horrible idea because you personally don't like Vercetti? The fact is that Vercetti came from the 80s and he would be older now, like the man in the trailer. It makes more logical sense that it's him than the guy from GTA3.

SPYDER0416

Vercetti already was kind of old in Vice City, bro. It doesn't add up. I didn't say I didn't like Vercetti. He was awesome. But his story is done. It doesn't make more sense than the dude from GTA3, becuase Vercetti would be like 60 now lol

Exactly. Aside from being pretty much made and finished in his story with no real open ending, Vercetti would be 60 years old. While I can sort of deal with Sam Fischer and Solid Snake being old farts (and in Snakes case, only in his body), these guys are angy special forces soldiers with years of training to keep them going. After Vice City, Tommy is basically some business man relaxing it up in VC, and he was never a super fit athletic dude in the first place.

Claude (GTA III guy) would be at worst in his 40's or 50's, and could even still be in his late 30's if he was 19 or so in SA. Plus like I mentioned, his ending doesn't really tie it all up for him like with the other guys, and considering all the moving he did before, it seems likely to me he might have gotten the hell out of LC and kept on going, but we don't know for sure.

You're both making a lot of assumptions here. No one knows if it's going to be Vercetti or Claude, I'm just saying if there's going to be a returning character, it'll most likely be Vercetti. Where does it say what the relative ages were for both of these characters? GTA 3 and Vice City never distinguished their main protagonists ages so you can't use "Vercetti would be 60" as an argument. You also can't assume that Vercetti's story is finished. Just because Vercetti's had more closure doesn't mean you can't reopen his character a decade later with a whole new dynamic. Also, Vercetti was a more interesting character to begin with, there's a reason why most people have no idea what Claude's name was in the game. Have you not even looked around the internet, almost every main gaming website agrees it's most likely Vercetti lol. You think my idea was horrible yet you use the same basic points for your own ideas to say that it's Claude. Sorry, but it makes much more chronological sense for it to be Vercetti lol. And really, in the end it doesn't even matter if it's Vercetti or Claude. If you can't find it interesting to basically play as different protagonists in a crime family and think that's a horrible idea, please state a better one and not some cookie-cutter been there done that in every other GTA game.

First of all, honestly I think that's a horrible idea. I'm done with Vercetti. His story has been told. If its anyone from GTA, I hope its nameless dude from GTA3. It would make sense. He has a family now. Trying to get out of it all, so he moves out west. But nope. Gets dragged right back into it.CasualMike

Alright, a lot of people have been wondering exactly who you play as in GTA V. It's now a pretty common answer to say it's Tommy Vercetti. However, there is also something about multiple protagonists, so how will this work?

In the trailer, the person talking says they wanted to have an ordinary life. He wanted to have normal relationships with his kids as well, but it didnt turn out that way. I think you might play as Vercetti and potentially some of his kids who work in his organization. That way you still do the trivial tasks like past GTA's with the kids, but the more important missions or decisions will be made by Vercetti. This way you see many more sides of the coin than any other GTA before it. And hey, as seen in Godfather Part 2, there may be hard decisions that must be made at some point, except you'll be the one making them.

What do you think of this idea?

Predicted Flops: Tough one, but possibly Modern Warfare 3 in terms of review scores, sales it will still dominate I'm sure.

Another flop I'm predicting is the inclusion of Kinect into Forza 4, the gimmick will frustrate quickly. Not saying Forza 4 will flop, as it will still have a controller or racing wheel to use.

Games Of the Year: Little Big Planet 2, new Zelda if it makes it into 2011, Uncharted 3, Dead Space 2, the new Bioshock game, Elder Scrolls V, Diablo 3, Infamous 2, Killzone 3, Crysis 2.

Graphics will go to either Killzone 3, Uncharted 3 or Crysis 2.

The GOTY I can see going to either Dead Space 2, Elder Scrolls V or Uncharted 3.

Best

1) Being caught off gaurd by the fact that Super Mario Galaxy 2is 14 times more creative and mind blowing than the first. It's so dang good that it's the very first time that I consider a 3D platformer to be greater than the finest 2D platformers. In fact, I consider it the finest platformer ever created... It really is as close to perfect as a game has ever gotten in my eyes

2)Buying inFAMOUs even though I hated the demo. This game is absolutely amazing

Worst

1) Pikmin 3 is still not out yet... Not even any news other than it's still being made

Pikminmaniac

Best1. With Super Mario Galaxy 2, none of the moments stood out to me as much as the ones I mentioned earlier. However, for me SMG2 is still my game of the year. No game was more fun and enjoyable then when I was playing it.

2. Good on you for giving Infamous a chance. It takes some getting used to, but once you get a bunch of his powers, Cole is a hell of a lot of fun to use.

Worst 1. The wait for Pikmin 3 is nonsensical. They threw it on the back burner for sure. I never even got around to playing Pikmin 2 even though I loved the original. I have to get around to that some day!

What were your favourite and worst moments in games released in 2010?

If your getting into spoiler moments, please put a warning!

Mine were:

Best:

3. Gran Turismo 5: Racing Formula 1 cars on the Nurburgring. After being taught how to run the course with much slower vehicles, learning every turn intricately, everything changes when your doing it in a Formula 1 car. Since I play the game with my view as the bumper, it was a crazy rush!

2. Red Dead Redemption: Just messing around online for hours on end with friends: Before even the DLC was offered, it was a blast to play online. Just enough variety to have a great time and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

1. God of War 3: Fighting Poseidon: What a way to start a game! Even though there were plenty of big moments in God of War 3, for me the biggest was the first fight in the game.

Worst:

3. The lack of polish in Gran Turismo 5: There are a lot of issues with this game's polish that have been discussed everywhere, and needless to say I have the same gripes. Finding a match online, some poor shadowing, most of the standard cars, the menu, etc. etc. can make playing the game very cumbersome. After being in development so long, you expected a lot more polish to the basics of a game. Luckily, though, I didn't allow these nuances ruin the core driving experience for me, as it did for many reviewers.

2. The fact that I couldn't finish Super Mario Galaxy 2: My own personal issue, I let my sibling borrow the Wii when they are away for school...but never did get to finish off those stars!

1. All you really do is battle in FFXIII: FFXiii in my opinion has the best battle system out of any of the FF's. FF is also my favorite series after Zelda and Mario. But when you take out the feeling of exploration, discussions with towns folk that may or may not lead to a treasure, or the ability to go backwards just to see if things have changed, you lose the soul of the RPG. And when there finally were side quests, guess what? They were all related to fighting an enemy. I really hope FF Versus Xiii has a better fate.

It's because no one wants to compete with Call of Duty. :P

DarkLink77

That could be just it! Difficult for a highly reviewed game to get everyone's attention when an equally high-reviewed game (CoD) is getting bought by everybody. Maybe the pie isn't that large after all.

For so long, the biggest games would always be released from fall to winter (September-December) right before Christmas. Recently, though, your seeing so many fall titles being delayed or simply released at the beginning of next year (January-March). Some of these games just needed a couple more months of polish, while others are trying to escape other big releases that will hurt their games' sales. Why else do you think this is happening now?
