@Vixenar I think that's a little harsh. Other than the Half Life games I can't think of a game that has created such a unique and palpable atmosphere as the first (or even arguably second) Bioshock. I'm not saying System Shock didn't but to say that Bioshock didn't even come close is doing it a great injustice imo. The incredible architectural design in Bioshock alone is unmatched in any game even now.

He wasn't playing the game using the Analog control method and a gamepad, it's the only way to do it. Otherwise it's a boring clickathon as he proved. Played in Analog this game is amazing - 360 degree control of your melee weapon? Yes please.

@LukeWesty

People like you who think a game is only as good as its graphics are the people who will kill the video game industry given the chance.

Video games already have a rating system in place to help against minors getting their hands on games that aren't appropriate for them, just like movies and music do. Parents are the ones to blame if their kids do get their hands on these games. Last week I overheard a very young kid, maybe 8-9, say that he had bought Saints Row The Third with his Christmas money and whoever the adults were who were with him just said "oh that's nice". Now having played that game I'm very aware that it's pretty much a prime example of a game that an 8-9 year old shouldn't be playing. But who is to blame?

This argument about violent video games makes even less sense to me when the same thing is not leveled as much at violent television, movies or even music. Some of the hate in today's music, that kids listen to, is astonishing. And whether there is blood or not, even punching someone in the face is a violent act that could promote violence, and I don't think I'm wrong in suggesting that over 50% of movies and television include some kind of violence, however trivial. It's the act itself that is the problem, not the level to which it is presented. In fact I would even argue that fist fighting is more of an influence on children than most other types of violence because you can easily translate that behavior into the playground or classroom.

I like the comment at 6:07, "So another boring gaylo is out, same crap gfx, same dated gameplay, same little children playing online". That can't be said for COD??

There is no such thing as hardcore and non hardcore, there are people who don't have anything else better to do than play video games all day and then people who enjoy video games but live in the real world. You never see this kind of carnivorous reaction to say a movie or a.... oh wait, you do. To video game and comic book movies. Just get a job, get some friends and relax guys, seriously. Or join the Navy.

@Villimax @SoraOfKingdom Regardless of how much shooting might be involved in its gameplay ME3 is still an RPG just like the other two. And I'm assuming you played the whole series and not just ME3 or that would be like only watching Return of the Jedi.

@SoraOfKingdom @Villimax

He also referred to ME3 as a "shooter". I'll join you for that drink...

@deadpeasant @destroyeur I think what destroyeur was trying to say is that people go out and buy the newest iphone and ipad not because they are so vastly different or better than the previous generation but because they simply like to have the latest thing. Which is true but that same argument can't be made for consoles because we all know that there is at least a 5 year gap between console generations and once they are announced it's more about them being infinitely better than the previous generation. They are not small upgrades. I still think the PS3 and 360 have life in them, most people do not play games on their PC and so the fact that console games only support 720p 98% of the time still isn't an issue for most gamers, they don't know the difference. I can see myself still being happy with my PS3 into 2014 and I'm also a PC gamer.

@hall0559

Me too. Actual 1080p on my PC vs 720p on my PS3 looks so amazing on a big TV. But I'm assuming the next gen console games will support true HD so playing games on my PC might not happen as much in the future. People are saying PC gaming isn't dead and it certainly isn't, but the introduction of next gen consoles will make things interesting.
