[QUOTE="jjarvis321"][QUOTE="ISuperGamerI"]You cant ask us which looks better....that is based on opinion and does not define which laptop is better in terms of performance.ISuperGamerI

Yeah im just asking, in terms of quality and overall perfomance, NOT LOOKS, of those two laptops, which is one is overall better, which one would you go for? and why. Also is there a big difference out of those two processors?, the sony has the intel but the hp has the AMD. Thanks

The site for the Sony laptop does not work.

Thanks i never realised that. I edited my post with a new link. Advice would be appreciated

Well, they both seem very similar and the only big difference would be that the Sony laptop can read Blu-Ray discs if that interests you.

Blu-ray included would make a laptops value higher and would be good for the long term. One question, which laptop has overall a better processor?

Sony. :)

Appreciate the advice man. Thanks

I think the Sony since you can watch Blu-Ray movies on it. They both look stylish. Only difference really is that the Sony has 2 GB of Ram and the other has 3 GB. bedram793
Will there be a big difference in perfomance, with the 3GB of ram as opposed to the the 2GB?

Well, what do you want to do? If you want to game, those two are simply out of the question, their video cards are too basic. Do you want to watch Blu-ray? Because you chose a Sony that had that. All I can do is recommend a good notebook in the pricerange:

You can get an XPS M1530 with a blu-ray drive and add an 8600 for 40 pounds. Total price is 899 pounds. The Nvidia 8600 will runBioshock on medium/high at 1024x800. It will also run Crysis on medium at 800x600. Greatr all around performance computer that has blu-ray if you want it.

Thanks for the reply. I do not want to be gaming really. I just want a decent graphic card. The sony has a very good looking style. I would just like to know, out of those two laptops, which one is overall better? excluding gaming.
