Go into safe mode and run malwarebytes.

Will running a scan actually reinstall the security center? thought it would just remove threats...?

The security centre isn't gone...

YOU HAVE MALWARE.

ok now it's just the firewall issue that remains, thanks, going to use malware instead of AVG

I was mucking around on my computer today and noticed that the my firewall is not working, when I try to turn it on it says 'Windows Firewall can't change some of your settings. Error code 0x80070424'

So i looked this up and people told me to access my security centre... however mine has simply dissapeared, not in services or anything. So now I am running some tool in command SFC scan to repair corrupt systems but it seemed not to do anything, also added a REG fix which again seems to of done nothing

Furthermore, when i open my AVG I now notice it says 'There are no active components'

I am really worried I have some virus which has infected it for god knows how long, and I have so much on my PC that reinstalling windows 7 causes it to be too much of an issue.

thanks

Where can I find a list if games that are comming free for the month, as that is the main reason I would pay for it? Also is there any games that are always free with playstation plus? Asking because when I search I see all these amazing games Last month then this month seems to be all kiddy, unknown games and want to know if this is right... Seems a bit of a gamble to me

ok i really want to play this new ending as opposed to just watching an ending of it.

However, do i have to get play more multiplayer again to get the best ending? or is there some code i can change to alter my war assets?

I want the synthesis, because i chose that last time and had a total military strength of 6051, with effective military strength of 3025 (due to 50% readiness rating). Will this give me the chocie of synthesis aswell as best outcome of it? or has this changed so that it won't matter?

Yes, MoW isn't supported by Valve, any MoW game and any version of the same game uses the same servers/multiplayer system.DanielDust
thanks, does this game for all games for future reference. excluding steam only games because... well you have to be on steam anyway

Hi, Men of War is currently on sale on gamersgate, however the game of the year edition does not activate on steam.

This may be a silly question but I want to make sure, as to not waste money.

If i play Men of War off steam, does this still use the exact same servers as those playing on steam?

Furthermore is this the same for all games? thanks

Well no, I'm not kidding myself. You're missing a glaring fact, and that's the huge difference in company. Valve is a private company, it will always be private as long as the people who founded it are still in control. It doesn't answer to investors, it isn't trying to please shareholders. EA is the complete opposite, it has been public for a long while now, and it answers directly to shareholders, every decision that is made is in the interest of shareprice. Which is why we see such monetization of products and business moves, it's all in the best interest of the investors and raising stock. Both are run for profit, but Valve's influences are massively different then EA's, and as a result that means the culture and service are going to be different.

That is true I didn't consider valve's business model... However, I think we can finish this topic, people hate origin because it is a by product of EA, as I suspected but thought there might be more to it

funny enough if you have no internet then when you launch steams it asks if you want to go offline mode, if i click that then it says dosen't let it work...? kind of pointless to me but maybe mine wasn't working or maybe this work around works

Your missing the point I'm not cheer landing origi but because I have to see why people hate it I have to dig through the nonsensical comments with my responses. Again I understand it and I keep saying it, I guess that's all in this fury, it's an EA product and so must be despised is what it comes to in the end. Furthermore you have to kid yourself if you think companies arn't tryin to be the most competitive, steams version is just a more customer friendly strategy, which is good for us, but don't kid yourself if you think that they would stop if it was more profitable to do so if the backlash was withstandable Thanks guys pretty much answered.
