@runstalker: i get it was a racer. its not like they said 4k 60fps and left it at that.....they said it was on ultra settings at 88% 4k. that takes care of the racer part. it performed like a 1080 period on that racer. my titan was only about 20% faster and again on that same racer. my titan is 20% faster on all games than a 1080. its not like my titan is 50% faster than a 1080 on forza but only 20% on witcher 3. it doesnt work like that. the whole "it was a racer" comment only works in pointing out all games may not run at ultra 4k. i get it. it does not make it irrelevant that it performed as would a 1080gtx. which by the way runs many many many games at 4k 60fps very high settings some on ultra. and yes some games like andromeda at 40fps.....
@sebb: your estimates ignore actual proven performance. it ran unoptimized forza 4k at basically 80fps on ultra settings. thats not to say each and every game will be that good but your statement of 4k 30 on medium low is like you have very little knowledge of what has been shown so far. if you havent seen the digital foundry review please look it up. it put scorpio at 1080gtx level on an unoptimized code.
i have 1080ti 4k pc...... im ready for scorpio as soon as i can confirm hdr is working with my sony tv. hdr is and unsupported mess right now between MS Nvidia and Sony. Ive spent 20 plus hours with nvidia sony ms and just my trial and error. it simply doest not work as its supposed to. once i find a trick an updated driver makes hdr useless again. seriously if anyone has any idea how to get hdr to work on andromeda i will pay pal them 50$......
@everson_rm: I have 4770k. its great cpu. its not hindering my performance at all at 4k. 1080ti. in fact its only being used about 30-40% in most fps games. im overclocking to 4.2 from 3.5 but really not necessary even.
