@judaspete: Ah that is great, have them level your characters up while your at work. If any of the kids are not good at it, ..... adoption is an option.

I really enjoyed Harvestella and The Diofield Chronicles, I hope they continue to make a mix of AAA and smaller games. I think where SQE really went wrong was when they expanded west buying up developers all across the globe, which is fine, but they bought developers/ studios that were already in trouble or whose talent had left for other pursuits. From Eidos Canada, to Eidos UK, to Taito. From SQE of latin America, and smileworks.

I will save my money and just wait for the Tonberry Roomba, going around the den while I am gaming, "Retribution is at hand.", "Adjusting humidity levels."

That is really all anyone needs.

Come on SQE, take my money already.

Great article. When I was modding consoles to play region locked games, I wrote a letter/email to Yoshi Murayama. Both in English and Japanese. He wrote me back in both languages as well. This was way before google translate. Cool guy.

Murayama, was one of the first big developers that pushed for creators/ developers to get better pay, better working environment, and to be accredited for their works. So they would have a better bargaining chip for other jobs including pay.

Yoshi- your works were great, your legacy is mighty, we gamers will miss you dearly.

@pillarrocks: I tried a RD wireless kb 90%, red keys... not too bad.

No board flex, metal construction, backlit, reasonably good feel. Plenty of macros, and memory. Wheel at top for volume and light intensity.

Typing was decent, not full sized keys but their feel was good enough. Gaming no lag, I could notice.

Dependability... who knows, but at 1/3 the price of a logi wireless G KB, maybe worth a try.

@wbrabbit:

In my opinion, Dragonflight ....

....... Look over here at this, hey this now" with no natural progression.

Exactly, you nailed it perfectly. For me, I am happy with any kind of decent new content. Not boring rehash and long waits for other stuff. BUT, I am completely aware that this is not enough in todays mmorpgs, or live service games and the generations that now play this game is not the same from 2005. I watched some old wow players on yt, where they talked about how these raids and mythic dungeons are getting out of hand. It is more of a memorization game, with walled off sections waiting for either gear progression or enough quest zones completed to access. While you have FF14 and other live service games, just begging to give you fun things to do.

I would love for them to be telling the truth about its current success. With the game being so old, coding probably being a nightmare, is it time to look ahead to a follow-up, even if it's just a complete graphics overhaul? .... (if that's even possible).

Yeah, what was the true graphical overhaul to the main engine.. I think, it was LEGION. I do not even know if Blizz or AB have enough developers on staff to overhaul WoWs core engines and lands. They can always improve the graphical look without scrapping everything, it is just expensive. Also, with new games like New World there was incredible innovation and great artistic designs. Huge elevations and thick forests, that wow's engines cannot compare to even with a more wow or cartoony design. I played FF7RB, omg that open world was so lush, intricate and alive.! I mean they should really take some notes on just what open worlds can be in 2024.

I'm with you. I hope the next expansion surprises everyone and lives up to its single-player campaign. It's a subscription-based game. Gamers need something to keep them in-world after the single player campaign is over.

Hope for the best, expect worst. I would love to know the budget allocation post acquisition and post tech bust, where funding has dried up. I am curious as to the amount of support wow next expansion will get after launch. Here is hoping for the best.

Embracer group was never a game publisher/dev, they were an acquisition of game pub/dev, and really never had an interest in games themselves. They were just buying up IPs, inflating their stocks, to eventually do this.

But, sadly a lot of developers have suffered and we have seen a lot of IPs sit collecting dust.

I hope they stay out of the business, but wish all of the employees at these new companies the best. Hopefully they can get back to making games.

If you get hot ears, or uncomfortable bands. Do not discard them. You can now replace and remove most quality headphone earmuffs and headbands, and replace them with something better or better suited. They sale everything from natural fibers, to bamboo filling, to sheepskin leather, to many different foams. With steel spring bands to plastics, and coverings galore.

There is some headphone coverings that can slip over existing headphone earpads. And tons of videos to help.
