@TheManofTin: You can get xp and money from all modes, but freeplay generally has less opportunity to get stuff quickly than from a mission or deathmatch or race (especially if you win). But there will be a brief time when getting a few thousand from a bounty in freeplay will be a lot of money, and the texts you get to take cars to Simeon's garage at the docks are worth paying attention to, as are notifications crates are getting dropped. Most advanced people won't bother with trying to get the crates since they hold little reward for them, but the xp and weapon they offer are good for a newcomer.

And as a n00b, expect to get raped mercilessly and repeatedly. But it gets better.

It was a great game, but pretty much every RPG has the issue that no matter what story you wrap around each task, you're still killing 90% the same creatures you've been killing for the past few hours, so there's always some repetition, and that could lend to an argument of "too long". But Skyrim's as long as you make it; if you just do the story and some achievements, you'll have a much shorter, tighter experience than if you do every little thing to level up your character even after you slaughter most everything with ease. And Skyrim's always fun, and the game is gorgeous.

@ninjaaablade: You just have to put that red dot attachment on a shotgun with slug rounds to earn that reticle, then it will be available for any weapon with red dot.

Yes, because no one thinks the person with 6 posts "asking" about a site is really advertising it…

@Jaysonguy: Well, I was going to Prestige anyway. And it's not even a choice anymore since you don't lose anything at all when it happens.

And others are pointless and just offer 'hey, I did this' in your profile. I got the challenge for prestiging in the first month in Ghosts, but you get nothing. Not even a measly bonus weapon camo or patch.

Hey guys, quick question regarding the power options for the xbox one. When i first had the x1, i was using the instant on power option, however when i turned the console off at the plug forgetting that the console was in this mode, it made a very strange noise from inside the console itself. Is it safe to power off and on the console in this way or do you have to ensure the console is fully turned off/ in energy saving mode before turning off at the plug to save any damage.

I don't use the above method after the first attempt due to worrying about damage but i do want to use the instant on option, just need to turn the plugs off at night and keep changing modes is a bit annoying after a while.

The solution is to stop flipping a switch and don't change modes. Modern electronics are meant to have a trickle of electric through them at all times. To spend $500 + games + accessories and then worry about a buck a month of electricity is sort of pointless, especially when Instant On is so empowering.

Oh wow...okay then. So Microsoft screws you over, well that's just freaking dandy. Season Pass doesn't cover episode 1...What kind of a Season Pass is that. My god Microsoft is crap. Glad I have no interest in the Xbox One.

That's how most season passes are. Call of Duty passes don't include the game, just future maps.

Good Hodgkins, like when in Curb Your Enthusiasm Larry was confused someone died because he thought they (as well as Charlie on Party of Five) had "good Hodgkins" (it was actually non-Hodgkin's lymphoma). Making someone see "you were killed by Good Hodgkins" in an online shooter could be funny. If the One gave people a chance to change their tag for free, I might've tried this.

Or MsChanandlerBong (the name Chandler Bing's TV Guide was actually sent to), though in truth I would be stunned if someone doesn't have that yet. (When I got my 360 in 2008 the first tag I tried was Bob Sacamano, Kramer's never-seen friend, but it was taken, so pop-culture ones go quickly unless they're from less famous franchises)
