135 going back to the Atari 2600.
[QUOTE="jdt532"]Games like strategy and FPS are fine with KB/mouse but others like platformers and RPGs are better with a controller. One thing I hate about some PC games is the fact that the KB has like 100 keys on it and some games use every one of them.... If you want to jump press the space bar, walk by pressing "W" want to run? you have to press "W" while holding "shift", combine that with the fact that the KB layout isn't real intuitive for gaming and you can see why it's a problem for some games...Crossel777
Not many platformers are you required to press a run button as running is automatic. Holding down the shift key with your pinky finger isn't a hard task either. RPGs are practically home on the PC. They play just fine. The only game genre I can see not working too well on K&M is hack n slash games and perhaps fighters.
If you're used to that I'm sure it's not hard but compaired to controlling your character with two analog sticks and using one other putton to interact, jump, shoot, etc. it's harder than it needs to be.

Halo 3 is using an engine made for the first xbox, Fable 2 uses a multiplat one, Banjo is using the viva pinata engine(might be custom), and GEOW is UE3.

I'm sure the viva pinata engine was cutom built for the 360. As for Halo 3 using an engine made for the original xbox that's very hard to believe, care to provide a credable source?... Same with Fable 2 using a multi-platform engine even though it's a first party 360 exclusive, source please...
http://hiddenpark.wordpress.com/2007/09/30/technology-behind-halo-3-why-is-it-so-popular/ It is only halo engine 2+
For the fable, MS could port it over to PC when they wanted to, there was talk about this.. Also, looking at banjo it looks very good and does not get put into the graphics disscusion because it is "kiddy" the lighting , the textures the effects all look very good. Also, maybe some people looked forward to it but it also lacked hype.
That article basically says they took the engine for Halo 1 & 2 and re-optimized it to take advantage of the 360. So where's the problem?.... Both Halo 3 and Fable 2 were built to take full advantage of the xbox 360. So what if they can port fable 2 to PC that doesn't mean it wasn't built for the 360 initally which it was. You don't think M$ would want it's two top games taking full advantage of what the 360 is capable of? You think Halo 3 uses a mildly tweaked version of the Halo 2 engine? Yeah right, stop making excuses...

and when we get a custom engine for 360 come back.

So Halo 3, Fable 2, Banjo whatever and all the other first party 360 exclusives weren't using custom engines built specifically for the 360?.... None of those games look good at all compared to the best looking PS3 games.

[QUOTE="jdt532"]It should be obvious to anyone not wearing fanboy goggles that the PS3 is more capable than the 360. The proof is in the pudding when you compare games like UC2, MGS4 and KZ2 to ANY 360 game it's obvious the PS3 can produce better graphics.... Threebabycows
