PDZ for the 360, I fell for Gamespot's extremely inflated 9 out of 10 score.

[QUOTE="jdt532"]

Compared to simply pushing forward on the left analog stick and then pressing one button to jump? Yeah it's uncomfortable if you're not used to using multiple keys on a KB to do a simple move. The KB was not made for gaming and it feels clunky and unintuative as a gaming controller. If some genious could combine the best of both worlds of a controller and mouse that would be sweet.

A keyboard with a analogue stick or a laptop like pad somewhere below the space bar, maybe? :shock:

:P

That might work or a XB 360 controller or DS3 with the right analog stick replaced by a trackball.

After my 360 RRODed for the third time and Sony started delivering AAA and AAAA games like Uncharted, KZ2, MGS4 and Infamous I really started favoring my PS3.

[QUOTE="IndianaJosh"] Really? Put your middle finger on W, pinky finger on Shift and thumb on Space. Is that hard? Because every PC game has been using that configuration since the mid 90s.IndianaJosh

That feels very uncomfortable compared to just using one analog stick and one button to run and jump over something.

Very uncomfortable? If it feels uncomfortable to do that, then there's something wrong with your keyboard or your hand, because you're supposed to be able to reach those keys with your hand perfectly relaxed. Again, this isn't something new. This is a configuration that has been used for years. If it wasn't comfortable, it would have been different by now.

[QUOTE="TheCSPeaceMaker"][QUOTE="jdt532"]Games like strategy and FPS are fine with KB/mouse but others like platformers and RPGs are better with a controller. One thing I hate about some PC games is the fact that the KB has like 100 keys on it and some games use every one of them.... If you want to jump press the space bar, walk by pressing "W" want to run? you have to press "W" while holding "shift", combine that with the fact that the KB layout isn't real intuitive for gaming and you can see why it's a problem for some games...IndianaJosh
exactly. i was playing halflife and its hard to press shift and w as well as the space bar at the same time.

Blasphemy!!! Comparing Halo to Star Wars.... SW was a success because it was an awesome saga. Halo is a success because of extreme Hype and the fact that the original Halo was the only decent game on the Xbox at that time. Halo takes components from previous FPS to form an average FPS with a weak story and generic main character, it's not revolutionary in any regard.

This is why it's waaaaaaaaay too early to tell which console will "win the console war". Don't expect a PS4 or XB 720 anytime soon. Wii 2 on the other hand might not be far off...
