@probable: Lol. Xbox has over a decade of catchup to play. A good game here and there does very little. The war has long been lost by them. They’ve admitted it.

"A good game here and there does very little."

Better than putting out no games at all.

and

If they lost the "war" there wouldn't be an XBOX anymore, battle... sure... war.... no.

Plus, Microsoft still has PC to fall back on if they ever decide to discontinue the XBOX, and PC is far better than anything PS can ever put out.

Consoles are generations behind PC power, especially since console manufacture make them available to the masses, which means they are locked in to a certain price point. Affordability.

Consoles (PS/XBOX) are for "casual players" PCs are "rigs" for real gamers. =D

PC has no "price point". It's only limited by current hardware (i.e graphic cards mainly) which get a turnaround every 1 to 2 years. A new generation of console is every 5 to 6 years (i.e current console generation uses the equivalent of 2000 series cards) With 5000 series cards releasing Q4 this year. Consoles will always take a backseat.

Playstation 5 & XBOX series X/S was released in November 2020, This year will be the 4 year mark for those consoles. Same time, this year, graphic cards on PC will already be ahead 3 generations, by the time a potential PS6 & XBOX series Z?! are released and are playing "catch up" (depending on what those consoles will use for their graphics capabilities) They will still lag behind at least 3 generations (minimum)

Sony's major achievements is their game library, and even that (as we seen in recent years) is very slowly, but surely making its way to PC.

PS can have the console battle, war or whatever... Microsoft/PC takes gaming, especially with the release of more and more of the PS library to PC and the advancements of emulation on PC, one way or another I'll play Ragnarok & bloodborne on PC, and it will eventually run far better than it ever has on the original equipment.

Sit. Playstation. Flame ON!

@j3diknightdave: I fervently disagree about this planet. Earth is resilient, and it will be here long after the last human has exited, after all it has already been promised to a certain people. This is not our planet and it does not belong to man, mankind are simply renters messing up the property, but the property can be repaired without the help of men. Man thinks that he has the sole rights to the property, but it only looks that way.

The problem is man's ignorance and greed. There are forms of energy that could feed and warm people but if it can't be sold they ain't interested because (let's face facts) there are men who would rather see this planet burn to a cinder before giving something like an energy source away. That is why mankind is where he is, because of man's love of money and his pathetic pursuit and abuse of power by men in power to keep said power.

"The United States alone has a serious problem with certain individuals taking advantage of tax payer dollars, by abusing the health care system, food stamps, housing, Well-fare ect."

Let me tell you something - Everyone takes advantage of the systems set in place in this country whether they are wealthy, poor, or anywhere in-between, through means of loopholes or straight up illegal activities. Everyone saps resources from the tree - EVERYBODY, but not everyone is rich, or has power or has a voice in this country.

I don't believe in just giving a person money for the sake of giving it and that it, and if so you've got to return it in some way to maintain the strength of not just the economy, but everything that goes with economic strength.

But as I said - without any form of doubt, everybody uses the (us) government systems to their advantage period. It is done whether you are rich, poor, or somewhere in-between - period.

Some people need other types of help before the government should even think of just giving them money, because many people won't use it to better themselves. I think that everyone needs to give back, but everyone may have very different problems. What I do know however, is that spending billions on nutty, crazy endeavors like space travel ain't the answer. It's like throwing money in an incinerator instead of putting it where it can directly do some kind of good for people here - on this planet - right now.

Valid points, and well said. Agree to disagree though. =)

@j3diknightdave: Trying is a waste of resources for the billions of people who live here on this planet. It's ridiculous to believe that humans will someday live on another planet. The funding could be used for helping people who are in need but instead they foolishly squander everything on silly mess like this.

If the funding for such a thing was completely from the private sector then that's one thing, I mean no one can tell someone how to spend their money. But if it's coming from the US government in any way, well then it's not right and it is a complete waste of resources, time, and effort. There are people right now who need serious help, on planet Earth.

The only reason that this planet is becoming unsuitable for human life is because of man's stupidity, his massive ego and his insufferable greed. My mind is open, to the truth.

Your truth is wrong though, my friend. Everything (including the earth) has a lifespan. We need to be a multi-planet species if we are to survive. The resources of this planet will not last forever. Especially at the rate human's are consuming and reproducing. Just in the last 200 years the population growth has shot from 1 billion to over 8 billion now. It took over 1,000 years for the earth to see It's first billion humans, and in just one, fifth that amount of time, It's grown 8 times over, and it will only get worst. There's a word you need to understand, It's called "capacity". Everything has a limit. As does the earth. Not just in resources, but volume. The volume of livable space we need for the increased population, but also the volume of space we need to grow & make additional food, and resources the extra people need.

Also, people... capitalist in particular are very money driven people. There is very few organizations & corporations or people in the "private sectors" of the world willing to pony up the type of money it takes to "fund" these projects. They generally like to see a return on their investments, Which in the case of space exploration, may never come, or at least in the life time of the investors in question. This is why governments are primary involved in these projects.

As for the "people right now who need serious help" while this is true, There are people out there (especially in poverty stricken countries) that are homeless, need food, medicine ect.

but, There is also a lot of people out there that take advantage of the systems that are currently in place.

The United States alone has a serious problem with certain individuals taking advantage of tax payer dollars, by abusing the health care system, food stamps, housing, Well-fare ect.

A "parent" getting out of their 100k+ SUV, pilling out their 4 kids (that the government is giving them $600/month per kid to "take care of") going in to the market, and paying with food stamps. Going back to "their home" that the government is using tax payer dollars on to pay for every month... Now X's that by like 60 million people in the U.S alone taking these government assistants (granted not all of the 60M is abusing the system, but you get my point how much money that is)

Wonder where "that individual" is getting the money to pay for that $100k car?! Even a person with a minimum wage job is making bank, when you consider 90%+ of their expenses are being paid for by tax payers. Way to go government, great investigative skills.

Meanwhile, the people that truly need the help, go without because of these low-life abusers. You hear about these scammers on the news everyday. You probably run in to them on the streets. Don't get me started on helping these "people" most of them can help themselves, and are just too F'N lazy to do so.

The one thing we can agree on though, It is because of "man's stupidity" why the planet is becoming unsuitable (at least in part) between fossil fuels & global warming but, this is why humanity needs to explore other options. Because we have become too dependent on these resources, and they will not last. Especially as more, and more people are brought in to the world, consuming them.

So, funding space exploration will eventually help people, by insuring the survival of our species in the long term. When (not if) another big rock from space comes hurdling towards earth, You may not thank, or be around to thank the ones that supported space exploration, and the advancements in technology, but I'm sure your families future generations will be thankful they didn't have to grab their knees and kiss their asses goodbye. =D

@j3diknightdave: "Plus, you'll never know, there may be better, even more beautiful places to live".

Are we a fan of stuff like Star Trek, Star Wars, and other such things. Do you dream of being those characters on TV and movies, well that is all make believe played out on sets and sound stages, it's not real life.

Now what does me getting out of a house have to do with this topic at all by the way? What grass am I supposed to want to touch, all the fake rolled grass laid down by some landscaper, or the grass that is laden with man's weed killers and pesticides that poison the planet?

It has everything to do with the topic. What I meant by "getting out the house" was opening your mind to things beyond our everyday life, touching grass was suppose to be experiencing new things. People (you) are so quick to jump to conclusions, when all I really meant was not to have such a dismal look on human beings, our place in this universe, and what we are capable of.

Again, If we all thought as you do...

"Humans in the cold blackness of space... what a pointless waste of money and time."

I hate to think where humanity would be. The advancements in science alone would be absolute shit, If we all thought "what a pointless waste of money and time."

Don't be so small minded. I mean that with every bit of respect I can muster. Just because the characters on the TV shows & movies aren't real, doesn't mean there isn't some places in the vast universe that contains even a fraction of the imagination that is built on those sound stages.

There's trillions of galaxies in just the observable universe, which is roughly 50 billion light years. Each galaxy has approximately 70-100 billion+ stars, If each star had 8 planets (like our own) that's 560 billion planets (minimum) in just our observable piece of the universe. Now, if you were to take just 0.1% (a tenth of a percent) of those planets able to possibly sustain life, that's 560 million planetary possibilities.

And, don't even get me started on what @phili878 mentioned. The ability to mine the raw resources in asteroids alone would be worth the "money and time"

*Mind blowing* Dream a little.

@Tiwill44: Well I say screw Ai, robots and everything else that is taking human jobs. Would you be ok with Ai writing this review? Because in the future Ai could be telling us when to use the bathroom and how to breathe even. Could be telling us now but we just can't tell. I...........really need to stop smoking weed. I'm sorry. Thanks for reading.

LOL! Don't blame AI and robots... It's not the technologies fault. Place that blame squarely where it belongs, At the feet of the employers that implement it, in place of a person, just to not have to pay benefits, wages, and give breaks to someone.

Humans in the cold blackness of space... what a pointless waste of money and time.

It's all but certain, there's another huge rock lurking somewhere out there, and It's just a matter of time before it hits earth (again) Technology is still nowhere close to being able to stop a trillion ton rock, the size of Everest, moving 15 miles a second.

Survival is one of the human basic instincts. Wouldn't it make more sense NOT to have all are eggs in one basket? (i.e not having our whole species on one rock that will eventually not be here anymore)

Which leads me to another human instinct, the need to explore. If there was never a desire to want to see what was beyond the oceans, humanity would have never evolved, and we all would still be drawing on cave walls somewhere.

That's why space EXPLORATION is essential. to evolve. Plus, you'll never know, there may be better, even more beautiful places to live, If you don't get out of the "blackness" of your house, and touch some grass! LMAO!

*SIGH* Millennial -_-
