This is one reason I stopped playing my DS games online, it's even more annoying to hear that they did this to Mario Kart Wii now... People really know how to take the fun outta playing online these days...
I would suggest trying to sell it on ebay, you can prolly get close to what you payed for on there if your lucky... I know how you feel I've made mistakes like that too, luckily I was able to get rid of them...
