Well one could just say that's an aspect that game designers need to be conscious about. And I don't mind people rating the graphics of the game. Provided the they aren't totally subpar I don't know if the they should lower the overall score.

Now I see it's just a matter of opinion on how someone thinks a game should be rated. What you're guys' thoughts?

But it's interesting to see the breakdown of it. To see where the game is good; and where it is not so good.

Ever since Gamespot has been changing the layout of their website I've noticed that they stopped showing how they rate each attribute (gameplay, sound, graphics, tilt, value). And you notice that all the old games still have theirs laid out but anything from the past month or so doesn't. Maybe I'm just wierd like that but I used to like to look at those. Is it just temporary or permanent becaus a sorta miss 'em?

Why do you wonder if it'll score even a 8.5? Are you unimpressed with all the footage?

Dude, everyone made a big deal about Bioshock. People were even talking about it winning Game of the Year.

There isn't a person here that doesn't know that Halo 3 comes out on Sept. 25 and there isn't a person here that doesn't know it has already smashed the top-selling preorder record. And no one can deny that it'll make a splash. But for some odd reason... the hype machine seems somewhat diminished. It's like there isn't as much chatter as there should be for a game of this magnitude. I mean come on this was supposed to be like the coming of Christ for the gaming world. I don't think Gamespot even mentioned Halo in their E3 07 video recap. Does it seem like Halo has set too long in the oven and people have forgotten about it? Or are there just that many other big games this year that even H3 could be dimmed down to "just another star"? Or was Halo just never as big as I thought it was?

If you guys think about it, I'mtaking the most ultra left sidewhen I say this (really I'm just an apathetic Republican) but when did expression of an opinion become illegal? It's not like you've got a couple guys in white getting ready to linch you on the spot. Get over it and stop being such whimps.

3...2...1... ENTER. And let the flaming commence.

You have to understand that gaming has yet to reach the "In every house in America" status like Tv and radio. 9 million, though, that's a lot of Wiis (*giggle*... sorry)! They've probably dolled out all the consoles to people who really wanted them. Now it's come to a trickle as it's now down to the less interested to sell to. It's happened to the 360 as well. there was a boom (11.5 million sold) and now all the interested people have one. As for the PS3... well, I was talking to a gamestop employee last at, like, the last quater of school and he said after Christmas they've just been setting on his shelves collecting dust. Sorry that was off topic and very fanboyish (which I'm usually not) but it still makes me laugh. Anyways, Nintendo probably failed to predict when sail rates would waine. Had there still been high demand there probably still would be a drought. But now that that trickle has been damed up by (as you said) the Wii being old news.

My first played perfectly... for four hours. Then in the middle of PDZ it froze. After that, the time it took for it to freeze after I rebooted gradually kept shrinking untill it'd lock before the X orb could come into view. I had it replaced by MS in less than a week, free of charge! My second one lasted for a year and a half before it would want to keep its disc tray shut. I had to pay for it to be replaced but they gave me a discount since this was the second occurence and they renewed the warranty. Now MS has given all consoles three year warranties. I also got aCoresystem and extra HDD on ebay. Both systems work well albeit one does seem to play slightly louder.

People can complain all they want about low reliability but I think that MS has done well in customer service and so long as they keep it up, I'd follow them to the 20th replacement.I mean, what have I got to loose? If any console makes it past three years it's probably never going to break down. Besides the 360 has the best library, best online, and overall best controller, in my opinion (the Wii remote hurts my hand after several hours). It's also a better price than the PS3 with as much memory and graphics too similar to really even matter. And I think many could agree that Halo 3 can practically be considered its owne seperate reason.

If you consider yourself a searious gamer, I'd suggest that you hang in there and don't give up. If you're not, then you might want to hang back untill later perks that you feel outweigh the 300 dollar risk (assuming you've saved the hard drive).

I'd go look around. check out the other consoles before you dump Xbox. You might find that, while more reliable, the other console might not have as good of games. You might not like their controller as much either. I'm a little bias. I do have a Wii and it's fun; but of the two, the 360 is overall more usefull (DVD, music, media, slideshows) and more entertaining. As for the PS3... I have about testimonials (one from a gamestop employee: says they just set on his shelves collecting dust) and only one of them reallyactually liked the PS3 over the 360; the others said it wasn't that good.

Good luck with your delema. it's too bad you've had such rotten luck with your xboxs.
