Always wanted to get more into Half-Life. Played a little on Orange Box. It's a shame they had to take the VR route. That's a non-starter for me. I'll never play a VR game in my own home, definitely not a sci-fi dystopia that has me trying to escape a prison city, especially during this bullshit coronavirus lockdown. Just bad timing; bad vibes; to hell with this.

@Terrorantula: I got worried about that when I saw the big open map too. Fortunately it's pretty take it or leave it. There are a few moments where I was wondering where I should go, but for the most part you can bypass the fluff if it's not your thing. I even came to appreciate the skiff sailing somewhat. the second act is gorgeous.

Good to see they're not chasing fads. Is 343 turning a corner?

If this catches fire, like I think it might, it could be the most Earth shattering event to hit the FPS landscape in years. I'm talking about a paradigm shift; ironic considering it's a ten year old game.

One of the things that allways got me about Bungie was that they knew how to make a fun game. Not allways the most realistic; just fun. This go around though I'd have to say they've really shown on the graphics. And the game is even more entertaining than the previous one. That, and the stars twinkle again (a personal tick of mine: H2's stars never twinkled)!

ryanduvall: I just played Halo 2 campaign today and it had the same ghost image problems. I heard something about some spring update that had a hundred and some odd number of fixes. How do I update that. I just recently downloaded something I supposedly needed, but I didn't know what it was. It popped up and said it was madatory or I would be signed off Live. Was that it? and if there are bacwards compatatbility updadates then where do I find them? I searched all over Live Marketplace and didn't find squat on Halo 2.

Maybe I'm just wierd, but I always felt that I bought my Xbox to blay Xbox games and my 360 to play 360 games. It's like when people complain when a sedan doesn't have a certain amount of power. Why the heck do you need a sedan to have 300hp?! What are you going to pull with it? They're meant for getting you from one side of town to the other; not hauling lumber. The 360 can play it's games, music, DVD's, run Media, play videos, slide shows, and download, demoes, games and all other sorts of crap off of Live. What more do you need?! If you want to haul a boat, get a truck. If you want to play Xbox games, then get an Xbox. On a different note: Everyone I ask online tells me there's a ghosting image problem playing the campaign on Halo 2, but no one here has posted about it. I'm getting mixed answers here so could someone straigten this out for me? Is the ghosting images thing an emulation problem; and if it is the why the #### hasn't microsoft fixed that?
