@Dasim64 I don't think their mistake was to make the Wii U without next gen specs... but it was to make the Wii U without the *wow* factor that the Wii had. Back when the Wii came out, it was like "Oh wow! I can control the game by waving this controller around!" But with the Wii U it's like, "Oh hey, it's a touch screen." We've grown so used to touch screens due to the emergence of tablets that it's not something amazing anymore.

@LesserAngel Check who holds the rights for the IP for those Gundam series in particular in the US. Sometimes it's a hassle if a game covers more than one IP and different companies own each IP in the US. For a game that probably won't sell many copies in the west, it probably isn't worth the effort for them to go through all the negotiations.

Well, I would say nVidia made the right choice.... IF it was the ONLY chip manufacturer for the mobile market. But it has to contend with Qualcomm and anyone else making an ARM derivative. So while a billion smartphones are sold a year, just how many of them actually carry an nVidia chip? I'm sure they'll make money from it, but probably not as much as they're expecting to. After all, how many people buy a smartphone JUST to play games?

By sticking with the consoles, AMD has its lifeline for the next 4-5 years or so. It needs to strengthen itself in the server business and then decide what direction it's going to take for the PC business. I think it'll leave the mobile market alone since there's waaaay too many competitors in there as it is.

@skeet1964 Makes sense. Looking at the DeNA website, there doesn't seem to be anything in there tying it to Sony anyway, so it seems like they couldn't find a way to integrate it into their corporate identity. It would take more time and money to do so and they probably have bigger things to worry about at the moment!

@CFritzRun Well, after using the 3DS for a week or so, the 3D effect stopped hurting. Somehow, my brain just went "Oh, there's going to be a 3D effect coming out of this screen, remember to compensate."

But even so, I keep 3D off most of the time because of the angle problem. If the 3DS tilts in the wrong direction, BAM the screen becomes a blur! And I have to readjust it. I only found 3D useful to me in the underwater sections of Monster Hunter where I couldn't gauge distances easily since everything's kinda floating and not bolted down to the floor.

Not surprising about the Vita and 3DS. When it comes to games for handhelds, the best games that come to mind have all been from Japanese companies. I'm not sure what it is, but there aren't as many good games for handhelds released by companies that aren't from Japan!

"...because it will help change the notion that the 'good old days' are gone for good."

I'm pretty sure the 'good old days' are gone! We'll just have to make something better going forward! I don't think there's much point in recreating the past when the rest of the world has moved on.

It seems strange to me that people prefer the analog stick in the other position. How else can I press the D-pad and the analog stick at the same time unless the analog stick is below the D-pad? It's just difficult to control the analog stick with the index finger, but it's simple enough to press the D-pad with it.

@Zepthire95 The thing about RAM is that the price has really dropped for PC RAM. Don't know where MS and Sony are getting their RAM from but there is a possibility it might have been cheaper for them to get 8GB of RAM instead of 4GB.
