It's going to be like Far Cry in term of sales, maybe better since it has more features that Far Cry. It's just hyped since it's an exclusive for PC (not ported to XBOX 360 or PS3... yet or maybe never).

PC gaming has been the first form of gaming. I was a PC gamer and I still am but at a lower extent. Since I got my PS2, I realized how easier it is to use a console, not having to check the specs all the time and get new hardware components or a new PC. It's true that PC do have better graphics on the long run, since I'm pretty sure that within a year or two from now the next-gen consoles (or current-gen for those who think so even if stores still list them as next-gen) will already be obsulete. A new OS is always a problem for PC gaming, but I think most gamers know that it's better to use XP at the moment.
Yes... you have to pay for XBOX Live but it's not that expensive. Until PlayStation Home comes out I think it will still continue to be better than PSN in terms of interface options and the like. However, to play online you need a wired connection to a modem or router... I prefer playing wireless on PS3 and PC.
