So much moaning on these comments pages. WTF do people expect? An annoying main character and a prettier game world than the previous games: yeah, I can live with that quite happily.

It's funny has Japan has massively violent films (like Ichi The Killer, Machine Girl) and video games, plus loads of Hentai games (Rapelay, Biko) and yet if we are to believe statistics there is hardly any violence and rape in their society.

Aliens games tend to be an exorcism of the fear induced by the films; it's like taking revenge on the aliens of the films though violent empowerment. But there's no reason that an Aliens game couldn't take on the template of Silent Hill or Dead Space.

@wyan_ Yep. Thank the success of FPSs for Capcom's shift to a greater accent on action in the series.

Some gamers are homophobic idiots? Well, duh. Who would have thought that young men would want lesbian sex scenes but shudder at the thought of guy-on-guy? The simple thuth is: many people -especially the young- are deeply insecure and who gives a f*&k anyway? No one should ever get surprised/angry at the narrow-mindedness of human beings, because more fool them if they do.

Yeah, Witcher 2 is one serious lovely-looking game (although switching on the uber-sampling at Ultra settings turns my PC to treacle). But its beauty would mean nothing if it wasn't a seriously good game as well. Which luckily it is.

A brilliant game, with a beautiful and vibrant world, strong story and witty dialogue, but I wish you could take potions during combat. Guess I'll just have to get better at the game, then... If only I found L.A. Noire as absorbing as this.

Is that Susan Boyle in a cunning glasses disguise in that Comic-Con picture?

The problem that the PS3 faces is that there are less really good exclusive releases than in the previous generation, and the 360 generally has the better versions of multiplatform games. Games I've personally compared like like Batman:AA, Assassin's Creed 2 and Fallout 3 are far less glitchy and more graphically adept on the 360 than on the PS3 (also read any review of Bayonetta). This debate always descends into fanboyism, and I prefer the PS3 to the 360 in many ways, but there comes a point on the issue of multiplatform games when people have to accept what's staring them in the face.
