If I had a soul left, I'd be trading it in to play the Beta of this. But seriously, I cab't see how this game'll fail. i think it may turn the PS3 around.

Don't have the self-discipline to own a Credit Card? That's sad. But anyway, I don't see the point of PSN Cards, as if you bwant to buy games you will without one. And you can get cards for theJapanese PSN Store off Ebay anyway.

I'll get it, as long as they sort out online so you don't get disconnected all the time.

The main cool things about the game are the control scheme -which lets you jump, fire guns and generally kick ass all at once- and the comic book gothic atmosphere. Control-wise, I was reminded of DMC by Heavenly Sword, with the rolling dodge moves you can perform. But DVM is far more responsive, and the use of the jump while firing guns is a neat move. You get given Style ranks (from d to the highest, S), which gives you an incentive to replay certain levels to get a better overall score. As for story, i read books for that....;)

The thing I hate about playing CoD4 online is the dudes that sneak up on you and slit your throat. Aghh! You have to be on yer toes all the time for that, and for that reason I wouldn't recommend the option of playing the (obviously immobile) sniper. But it gets a lot easier once you start to unlock the Perks: especially the martyr option, where you drop a live grenade when you die.

Praise the lord! I like the DiVX format and it seems very amenable to high quality videos, and I think it's going to look great on HD TVs.

It's tricky, isn't it? What I do, is switch to manual transmission in the setup, then drive into the corner at full revs (the RPM needle is hitting the red)and in a low gear. Aim you car slightly towards the outside of the bend you want to drift 'round. Then at the appropraite moment hit and holdthe Triangle button (for clutch), all the time keeping your revs high. That's what i do, but with those tuned cars it's pretty hard to keep control.

Let's get something straight. Both the 360 and PS3 play games where you drive around in pretend cars, shoot people in the face with pretend guns, etc. Both systems do much the same thing, with much the same graphical and sonic flair as each other. As long as developers continue to make games for both platforms the argument is 100% irrelevany and trivial. Buy both, or just make do with the few exclusive games there are for the system you do not own.

If Sony get their Video On Demand service sorted out (like they promse), then 80 gig is definitely worth it. Also, card readers mean transfering data from your computer ten times easier. In a nutshell, if youplan todownload movies, etc. direct to the PS3, go 80:D
