I think Civ 4 hands down because its 1 of the greatest series ever and the graphics are stunning. but ive nvr tried EU3 so i cant really say. All i know is tht Civ 4 is amazing and is very re-playable. great game and is definetley not overhyped up. If my comp was fast enough i would get it. A downside to it is tht I heard it crashes a lot whenu get close to the end because everything is so built up and huge. but as long as u have at least 1.8 GHZ i think ur fine.

So my verdict... CIV 4. No contest.

lol u dont even own both and u say that civ4 is the best......i play lots of rts, tts tbs and gs games and i noe for a fact that eu3 is wayyyy better for gameplay....if u just like graphics and not that good gameplay, then civ4 is best for u.

other stuff eu3 has better than civ4 is the Ai, better moddability, and more features like interesting concept of trade, realistic real wars (american revolution for example), and the holy roman empire and papacy.

civ4 is more simpler but eu3 is better wayyyyy better when u learn all of the features

My friend has Civ 4 and I probly played the game more then him =P

We just introduced a new competition into our LAN parties that features older games. Taking a break from the modern RTS and playing games with great memories has proved a ton of fun; the most recent game has been Age of Empires II. So yes, some people still play AOEII and while it wasn't online, it was good LAN party stuff.akeanon

Interesting timing, as I re-installed the game a couple of days ago. i was bored and wanted to play it again. AOE2 was basically one of the first games that got me back into gaming several years ago. I enjoyed playing through all the campaigns at the time. Anyway, as decent as the graphics probably were then, I find them at bit hard to deal with now. Personally, the game has passed me by, but it was a great game in its time.eclarkdog

That game brings back some memories...had some real fun playing it with a 56K modem. Those days PC gaming was really good and I am sure it's still played online but i would not expect a large community.Deihmos

*sigh*...

anyway ive learned if u want to recommend RTW force the person NOT to try the demo. The demo makes it look like a mediocre game. The Praetorians demo looks so much better and so does the Civ III demo. but i believe u guys/girls (idrc) and ill probly get RTW thx. I still appreciate more input though thx.
