@quinnd6: the whole online required argument is out dated. We’re closing in on 2020 where everyone is connected to the internet. Yes it was cool to say it in 2010 but pretty soon, there’s little excuse to not be online in this day and age.
I think most games should do this if they choose to have paid dlc. Let people buy a seasons pass or each dlc to get it early and when next dlc falls (2-3 months later) make the previous free/available for all.
I typically don't buy dlc unless it's battlefield cause theirs is pretty beefy and it's my primary game. I probably would still buy most of the dlc to play early/exclusively (what can I say I get bored quick with things) even if it goes free months later. $15 is like half of my weeks gas money, so to play dlc 3 months ahead is ok by me.
So the Pro uses Jaguar custom CPU that's 2.1 ghz per 8 core.
The Scorpio is Jaguar custom CPU thats 2.3 ghz per 8 core.
Yes the memory is better on Scorpio but still not sure how that CPU can keep up suddenly. We don't know how Sony customized chip differs from Xbox, can't be that big since the core speeds are pretty similar.
@fedor: yea screw em. I have Pro and a nice ks8000 tv.
Games look fantastic. Sure most are checkerboard 4k but it still looks amazing.
I highly doubt Scorpio will do Native 4k 60 fps and Pro couldn't do checkerboard 4k 60 fps. They will be very close and the checkerboard still looks amazing. I've sat a foot from my 65 inch and can't see pixels or jaggies on Battlefield 1. And it does pretty close to consistent 60 fps. Sure sometimes it drops to 50 fps but it's so subtle and fast I couldn't care less!
Let the fanboy think Scorpio is a 6 TFlop Native 4k 60 fps powerhouse... it'll have some issues in games just like Pro- it may look slightly better but big difference? Highly doubt it- a game like Uncharted 4 shows how amazing graphics can be on Pro. There's no way Scorpio could run that game in Native 4k 60 fps, nope
A jaguar is a jaguar... marketing will spin everything for their dear fanboys.
@godoftech: no one cares as the checkerboard upscale 'crap' that the Pro does look fantastic on my ks8000.
I don't think Scorpio will do a same game Native 4k 60 fps that the Pro can't do checkerboard 4k 60 fps. Battlefield 1 is what, 1800p checkerboard up to 4k and nicer effects on Pro. It runs pretty damn close to consistent 60 fps, so close the difference is marginal- same with image quality.
I only paid $150 after trade in og PS4. I'll probably buy a Scorpio too since I don't own an Xbox one however, I am in no rush and wait for good sale. I think it'll be $500.
