@FandomTheory Man as an aspiring sociologist and gamer that experiment sounds great. It's interesting to uncover the motivating factors behind people's actions as well as how they vary from group to group.

I play Trials Evolution a fair amount. That game is very competitive. However, the top players are almost inhuman, at least to me. I've heard people justify their continued attempts by classifying the players on the leaderboards into tiers. Thus, I can compete with the people ranked 1000 through 10,000 and still feel good about getting near the top of that group!

Interesting experiment though. :]
