FYI it does happen. Steam pulled Darkspore recently because the servers were no longer connecting with the game over an extended period, causing them to believe it was now unsupported. After they pulled it, the publisher(? - or whoever keeps the servers up) decided to fix the issue, causing Steam to put it back on sale. But clearly at some point Darkspore will fall into a black hole. It isn't the only one, just the most recent.

I have no problem with people who like the hyper-sexualization of women in fantasy games - it's been happening in the genre for decades, so of course the majority of fans will be at least accepting of it. But to suggest that the only possible objection to this artwork is stupid, and based on some sort of radical feminist argument is so out of touch with society that I wouldn't know where to start pointing out the flaws.
You need to get your head out of games for a while and take a look at the way real life works. People whose opinions don't agree with your own aren't automatically radical nutjobs.
@axelx666 I won't criticize you for wanting that (we all have personal quirks that can make or break games for us) but for myself, I don't agree. Detective stories practically thrive on investigators that don't look the part - take the egg-headed mincing Poirot, or Columbo in his dirty and crumpled trenchcoat. Many detectives are *designed* so that criminals don't take them seriously - it's a staple of the genre.
@sdcazares1980 Going by the video review, I'm not convinced this deserves to be in the same category as Big Rigs. It might be buggy and completely unfun, but it still looks too functional to take on Big Rigs' crown.
Why are Electra's boobs completely lopsided in the graphic for the video review? I mean, so-so gameplay is par for the course in games based on comics, but they should be able to *draw*.
@sumljivc Don't be stupid. People's views are no different here. We have just as much sex, violence and drug use in movies, and news that's just like your own. Unfortunately, we also have a game classification board which has always regarded video games as being inherently for children. Aussies find these classifications even more hypocritical than you do, because we know just how out of touch they are with the rest of our entertainment and media.
If you're going to start throwing around insults, at least learn something about the topic before you randomly slag off at people who, unlike you, are actually affected by this.
@d1versify You don't really have to upgrade your PC every 2-3 years. A PC from 2007 will play modern games with enough fps if you downgrade the graphics options to be similar to an XBox 360 or PS3.
It's just that lots of PC gamers don't enjoy playing games that look years old - console gamers don't have a choice, and their friends are likely to also use consoles so there's no "keeping up with the Joneses" factor until a new console comes out.
@tevic @Mendax2013 Actually, useless achievemnets have proven increably popular with games, so... yes, I think they do expect their "loyal fans" are dumb enough to support it.
Why do Microsoft need "policies for trade in and resale". The very fact that they feel the need for a policy instead of just saying "resale is none of our business" (like consoles have for decades) mean there's something unpleasant on the way...
