@pongley: You are going to see non-win 10 editions stop getting updates. The win10/pocket/ps4/xbone edition is the money maker now. Mainly because they charge for skins and themes.
@xzerocarnagex: you are so wrong. My 1080p TV I game with (for games my 980ti can't push my 4k monitor with) is about 8-10 feet from me, and I can see every damned pixel. Have you heard of screen door effect?
@paul711: was the ps4 full 900p or just that one planet? I am confused, in the ps4 video, they mentioned they had to downscale that one planet specifically (the racer jungle one)
@validifyed:While 4k is nice, prepare to pay out the arse to get decent performance on it. While my 980ti can max everything in any game i have tested in 1080p and 1440p, it is far from being able to do it well in 4k. And future games will probably demand more.
Battlefront was a solid 60fps maxed out everything but the texture scalling down to 80%. Fallout 4 can max everything but godrays and shadows to keep a "coinsistant" 60fps. (still small dips here and there to low 50s.)
I really wish I went with a 1440p display rather than 4k, at least until i get my second 980ti.
That being said tho, even if I run a game at 1440p on my 4k monitor, it still looks far better (even upscaled) Then 1080p on a 1080p monitor.
1080p to 4k is the same wow factor as it was from SD (480i) to 1080p
