nVidia, the profit based company, this really was no surprise considering how they LOVE money, even so much as to play dirty tactics to put amd out of the market on several occasions. nVidia only bothers to update because they don't like to look outdone, I fear for a world of graphics without amd.
And what did we learn from this?..............................People have too much time. Its a fun game, play it, the tinny graphic differences a good game do not make ¬_¬
@bf210 It won't take that long, they don't have to 'learn' a new type of programming, rebuild all the cars from scratch, optimize the game to ensure it works the way it should, fill it with enough content to make it worthwhile, do the the practice sessions to make sure its as realistic as possible, create a brand new engine for the PS3 etc
You'll find that all they really need to do is take GT5 and improve on it (stability, less loading etc), more options, probably the same cars but less and interior view, a few new tracks (GT5 has more than enough, believe me) and damage to cars (which is probably the biggest new thing). All in all, that is substantially less work.
1) No reason it can't be a PS4 title as well, they haven't even officially announced the game yet, jeez, give it a chance.
2) The PS3 IS NOT DEAD! "HELLLOOO, I'm still here, I haven't stopped selling like hotcakes", it screams.. A console doesn't just die because the launch of its predecessor is coming, "Okay guys, drop all projects, the PS4 is here now, no more games for PS3 ever!" PS2 has only JUST stopped being sold, I don't see PS3 sales ending any time soon.
3) It'll take substantially less time to make this game as they already did most of the work in GT5. As for GT7, they are probably already working on it alongside this one, otherwise making a GT6 HD.
4) Not everyone is ready to buy a new console, some of us won't buy one for another two years or so, should we be excluded from new games? Stupid business decision if developers want money.
To be honest, unless they show off a brick that looks more like a PC terminal than a console, I seriously doubt that at this point it would make a difference, people already know if they want or do not want. All the specs, yays and nays, potentials and not happenings, this coming up from ps3 and things getting left on ps3 are out, other than the pricing and the look, there's nothing much else to see or know.
And I suspect Sony is holding back on pricing to get an idea of what the comptition will do
