There isn't even a way to respond to that, that is by far the dumbest comment I've read all night. Dude, the characters play one of the biggest roles in a movie, script, book, game and any other form of media, if you can't like the character, its very difficult to like what that character has to deal with, thus many have been turned off by God of War, not just because of repetitive gameplay, but a lead that they simply didn't like.

I don't like Raiden, that wouldn't stop me liking the game if it is good gameplay wise, but considering Raiden leads the whole game, that would be like swallowing a rock to enjoy something. Say what you want about Master Chief, at least he shuts up and gets on with it, boring though he may be at times.

Obviously you are a clear example of why storylines in gaming are dwindling to nothing....

True, but I have a good feeling about it, one being that Naughty Dog has yet to let me down with any game, some weren't quite as good as others, but thats the same as saying Batman: The Dark Knight Returns and Batman Begins weren't as good as Batman: The Dark Knight, course not, that film was flipping awesome, on the awesome scale, the other two came just beneath it.

Likewise with Naughty Dog games, gameplay, reviews, hands-on and trailers of both gameplay and voicework so far has failed to disappoint me. So while trying to remain composed, one can't help but get excited and feel positive about it.

I think what he meant was that MGS reached its level of fame through Playstation, so is often seen as the figurehead and mascot of Playstation despite being on other consoles, this is why there will most likely never NOT be a MGS game on a playstation console......except Vita.

Although he made it sound more fanboyish

But its true, I hate Raiden....with a passion, I would have preferred Grey Fox as a lead and Kojima's plot lines. By all means I would like to see Platinum's take on MGS too, but without Raiden

To be honest, I don't see what the fuss is about, most PS3 owners are probably more likely to be buying and playing The Last of Us than Metal Gear Revengence anywho, The Last of Us keeps getting better and better while MGR is just....DMC with the least liked MGS character, Raiden the whiner.

Well, now you know how PS3 owners feel about CoD delayed DLC, or the lack of DLC altogether for Skyrim, to the point where its even pointless playing them now that they have finally released. Or Mass Effect 2, not to mention quite a number of other games that got the love 'treatment' on Xbox.

Look, we've gotten used to it, I was too bummed when GTA4 had DLC on Xbox that didn't come to PS3 till yonks later, but I didn't pull my hair out over it. I hope GTA5 doesn't do the same, or maybe I'll moan about it the way you guys are.

If it does, excellent, if not, Xbox owners are hardly missing out on anything particularly significant, unless of course they turn it into somewhat of a full title

"I can't get around meaningless platform specific features unless there is a good reason for them (motion controller functions unique to PS3 for instance)."

You're assuming that isn't the case, this game would be perfect for Move and what better way to test that out than through VR missions.

I was intending bring up the point that Blu-ray was part of the reason why MGS4 never saw Xbox, or at least that was the excuse from Kojima.

I know, but VR missions have been on every Sony platform, handhelds included, ACID was sort of one big game based around an interesting new style of VR missions. So while it appeared on the original Xbox, its a very much Sony thing. Wouldn't surprise me if this is because they want to make it Move specific
