I thought I read from KH2.co.uk in an interview w/ Nomura that at E3 they'd reveal his next game. I'd take that with a grain of salt, though, because I'm too lazy to supply the link. An interesting possibility, but I'm not holding my breath.
It's my Dad's doing that I'm a gamer. I can remember watching him play Wolfenstein 3-D and Doom when I was just a little tyke. After he brought home a Nintendo, I was hooked. I didn't know what FF was until middle school when some friends introduced me to it. Haha, I had never played an RPG and had NO IDEA what was up with the battle system. I got my girlfriend into Kingdom Hearts, then Final Fantasy. She tried IX, didn't get into too much, then tried VII and was hooked. When KH2 came out, she dropped VII like a bad habit, but says she's going to finish it when she's done w/ KH. My sister's into them somewhat, too, and played some piano Beatrix's theme from IX at a talent show or something. I bet the geeks in attendance LOVED that. Dad says he wants to try the FF games, but he's too busy w/ his PC FPS's.
Yeah I picked up a copy of the double pack of AC and Spirits Within, both are awesome. I loved the characters and the visual style was just breathtaking, my eyes are glazed after leaving them open for so long. Anyways I waited to watch the US version first, I picked up the japanese version over Ebay but now wish I didn't since the AC US dvd lets you play it in japanese. Oh well, I also picked my reserved AC copy at my local GameStop and got a bonus disc with cast in depth interviews and more for free. The movie is so beautiful I can't believe it, though I can see how a FFVII fan would have considerable trouble figuring out what's going on. nurik_strife

i totally forgot about it, i gotta go get it tomorrow, gotta see if the voice acting is as good as ppl say it is. but, nothing can take the place of the japanese version because im so used to them and they seem perfect for the character.Soldier_Shadow
I thought the same, too. I was so used to the Japanese actors, but surprisingly, seeing it in English is a lot more fun, and 90% of the VA is just as good. I've already forgotten about the Japanese audio tracks. Barret is SOOO much cooler in English! Geostigma's origins finally make sense to me now, too.
It rocks! Checked my email this morning, a friend who works at Wal-Mart said they had it in. Only $14.99 and came with the Spirits Within (oh well, it's still a free movie). For whatever reason, they didn't tranlate the Japanese text at the beginning of the film, so you have to turn on the subtitles to read that, but after that, you should have no need for them! I'm very pleasantly surprised by the English acting, and can say I'm a bit disappointed in myself for not waiting for the English version. Still, after watching the film from beginning to end, I went back and watched some scenes twice and some thrice! The dubbing is fantastic, aside from some awkward lines. In many cases, you wouldn't think it was dubbed, although in very few, it's painfully obvious. I'm forgetting about my Japanese copy, now. Even Cid, who I hated in Kingdom Hearts 2 is good. Barret's probobly my favorite, though - much better than in Japanese! Everyone who's been griping and saying they want the Japanese version, you can switch it to the Japanese audio. I really don't see any reason to, though. Only thing that sucks is the recap of the game is Japanese, and you gotta turn on subtitles. Even that, though, is not really anything to complain about, especially if you've played the game anyway. Well, is everyone else as happy as I am with the English version?
I think they changed a lot of things in the American version. I think I am just going to get the japanese version this time. I heard that they changed some of the things that they said and made it sound more "American" That sux.:(

I'm glad they've changed some things. "Yo, Cloud. What up, foo?" sounds a lot more like the Barret I know from FFVII. And from what I've seen from the clips, the script is well written (with some so-so to great voice acting). I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it.
Good idea. I put the spoiler warning on here b/c I really wouldn't want to ruin anything for anyone. I HATE it when people ruin stuff for me. I have a friend who's notorious for that.
Well, I beat it last night, and was wondering who else on here has also done the same. I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed we never see what happens with Maleficent and Pete... they REALLY left us hangin'. I wasn't expecting them to leave it open for a sequal, either, after reading that the next Kingdom Hearts game wouldn't follow the flow of the series so far. Also, I'm kind of wondering where they can really go from here. I'd've rather see them close up all the loose ends at the end of II than milk it for what it's worth. Of course, I'm not saying that another KH title wouldn't be good. The most interesting thing about the ending, though, was the bonus trailer for the Keyblade War. Where do you think they'll take the series from here, especially after Nomura's statements reguarding the next game? Also, do you think a future KH title will follow the same world-to-world mechanics? Although I loved both games, (and liked CoM) I'd like to see something new. This definately looked new, and I'm excited to see what Nomura and his team have up their sleeves for the next KH title. Anyone else have any speculations or thoughts?
