[QUOTE="gill9221"]Have you seen the English cast? Of COURSE I'm getting it! Barret and Cid speaking Japanese just isn't right...cal_hooper

Isn't right? How about this: they was speaking japanese since they was born, right? Mother of God! English? Nonono, that won't do...

Um, okay. When I played the NORTH AMERICAN version, not a lick of Japanese is spoken between either of them. The Barret and Cid as I know them are psuedo-jive- and tough-talkin' bad-asses, respectively. Okay, whatever, they were made in Japan, but somewhere in FFVII's transition into the states, they were changed to speak English, "boyeee."

He's tougher in Expert mode... then again, when you give up the shield like i did, EVERYTHING'S a b****. Yeah, even Cloud and Squall together aren't that tough. Squall's even easier... :P

Definately do that. CoM isn't a must-have, but nice if you want an introduction to a lot of the new characters in II.

Yeah, same here. I'm almost completely oblivious as far as storyline goes and original characters. I've done a really good job at keeping myself from seeing anything that would give anything away. I do have plenty of theories, though, reguarding Roxas, DiZ, the Organization, Mickey, and the rest from playing CoM and seeing screens. In two weeks, we'll find out!

I've browsed the forums in the Union, and didn't see anything like this, so hopefully I'm not duplicating anything here. If I am, sorry. Okay, here goes... We're a mere 2 weeks away from the release of Kingdom Hearts II. Who or what would you like to see incorporated into the game that we don't know about? This could be anything from character cameos from either company to types of minigames. Also, if I or someone else mentions something that you know is or is not in the game... DON'T SAY ANYTHING! That'd ruin the fun! I've kept myself relatively free from spoilers, and would hate for someone to ruin that in a topic I'VE created. Just write up a "wishlist" of things you'd like to see in KH2. Here's mine. And, yeah, some of it's pretty unlikely... Character Cameos: Kefka - FFVI Cecil, Rosa, or Kain - FFIV Zidane - FFIX (Yeah, none of these are Nomura characters, so there's a very slim chance...) Mr. Incredible (as a summon, maybe?)- The Incredibles *Baloo (another summon?), Bagheera, King Louie, Shere Khan, or the Vultures - The Jungle Book *Scrooge McDuck - Various Disney productions The Penguins from Marry Poppins Also, I'm hoping a FF-style card game like Tetra master is included in the game, though I've not heard anything about this.

Well, I know it did for me. When I heard Squaresoft was doing a joint project with Disney, I was appauled. My beloved Final Fantasy creators making something with Bambi in it? Of course, I was 15 at the time, so Disney was very uncool. However, as soon as I saw shots of Squall and Cid in the game, I had to get it. As soon as I popped in the game, I was hooked. The FF cameos were a nice touch, but the gameplay and story was what really made the game. Whenever I tell other gamers about my adoration for the game, they scawf at me. Once I drop a few names like Cloud and Sephiroth, though, they're eager to play it.

"I hate to say it but I think they made Hercules stronger, just for story perposes. " Ditto. We've got to keep in mind this was a game created for Disney characters, Square's characters only make cameos. Cloud says that he tried to exploit the powers of darkness, and it backfired. Who better to defeat someone using the powers of darkness than the weilder of the Keyblade? Cloud is meant to lose because of this, and c'mon, Herc's the son of Zues, and it's his world. Having Cloud come out on top would have made Herc look bad in the game, and (though this is totally irrelivant) would've given FFVII haters all over the internet reasons to gripe about Square making Cloud "too powerful" or whatever. I bet we'll see a much stronger Cloud in KH2 since he's done bargaining with Hades and has found his light, which we see in the ending of KH.

I can't beleive no one's mentioned the Zodiac from Tactics that's really flippin' hard... what was his name? Velius? Just thinking about Dark Holy makes me cringe to this day... Coming in a close second is Maester Seymour's last form in the mountains, and finally, that robot in the Underwater reactor in VII. Picking up 2 party members, then killing the other? That's just mean, man! You can run away from Marlboro's, but hard bosses can put your journey at a halt for days, sometimes weeks. I wouldn't really say I hated these, though. I hate it when games are too easy, and triumping over a hard boss gives you quite an accomplished feeling :D I guess it'd be better to say these are my favorite boss battles.
