The headset feels ok comfort-wise. You won’t forget it’s on your head… They went with the headband fit instead of the goggle fit again, which seems to be giving some folks fits with finding the sweet spot. Being familiar with this, I knew just how to adjust things for the proper fit. I appreciate the accordion type rubber stuff on the bottom that helps fight the light bleed. That was an issue last time around. The tracking is night and day better. The optics are good. Screen door effect is minimal, but the “god rays” can still be an issue at times. Controller button placement isn’t great… I‘m kinda shocked at how unergonomic the buttons feel. Then again, this is PlayStation. They aren’t exactly known for great controllers.
Tetris Effect remains a great VR experience. The other stuff I tried… Meh. I played the available demos and they were fine for what they are. I’ll grab Kayak at GT7 and try those out. PSVR2 is a very competent effort. It’s a MUCH better experience than those Quest headsets. But the software is going to be an issue. PlayStation needs to get HL Alyx, Among Us VR, and something like Budget Cuts asap. Or the masses will just dismiss this thing, and play beat saber on one of those standalone $300 headsets instead
I post information from a Microsoft site, that shows a low MAU number for a large region, and Lems hur dur themselves into a tizzy, claiming some kind of victory…
But what do we expect. When numbers, metics and stats can’t be used to rank the performance of the big 3, this is the kind of shit that happens. 2013 forever changed the System Wars landscape, and did permanent damage to the hearts and souls of Lems.
@Grey_Eyed_Elf: Its a catch 22. Game quality and support won’t get better until there’s an install base and consistent return on investment for devs. But that won’t happen without the software…
This pic is starting to represent you more than anyone else at this point. The more numbers we get, the crazier the shit Phil and Co. has said appears to be. These numbers represent 17 countries… Even being generous and doubling the number to represent the rest of Europe and Asia leaves like 112 million MAUs missing from Xbox’s total… Again, that’s like 1/3 of the US population… Explain how they get to that number…
