No, not most of the time. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3, Gears of War, and dozens of other messups really ruined my trust with the site.GodLovesDead

Agreed. In the late '90's, I used to go by their reviews and opinions quite a bit, but over time they've shown a lot of bias against some genres while giving other genres a free pass. So now I mostly come here for the forums and the news articles.

I definitely agree with the Freedom Force games, Undying and the most recent Vampire: The Masquerade game. And Arcanum, I'd add to the list. Before Troika could put out a planned sequel, they went under.

Bad Mojo and Sanitarium, both are bizarre and memorable for their weirdness.

[QUOTE="ProudLarry"]

Relic is the best developer right now, if you ask me.

Company of Heroes is really one of the best strategy games ever made. Dawn of War + Expansions is also among the best. Then there is the Homeworld series which is a classic.

Try City of Heroes...You create your own superhero and explore city districts and zones. Or City of Villains, where you do the same thing, but as a supervillain. It's a nice break from all the medieval setting/DnD-type MMORPG's.

Definitely Undying. Great game, almost feels like you're in a Clive Barker movie.

The first Shivers game, just for the atmosphere of it.

The Thing

American McGee's Alice, which can sometimes be found in a compilation that includes Undying as well as 2-3 other games.

Both of the Phantasmagoria games

Both Dark Fall games

Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare

Ripper

Zork Nemesis

Ghost Master, not a scary game, but very entertaining. Sort of like The sims, but with ghosts.

Sanitarium
