I really wish Microsoft would stop wasting money on TV shows that are exclusive to XB1.. If they want to make TV shows great.. get them sold to TV networks and make money from them.. they are not going to generate significant console sales.
I like the potential TV (HTPC) features of the XB1, but I really don't need special programming to help me enjoy it more.
@Blazen702 Why do you think it needs more than 6 cores and 4.5 - 5.5 GB RAM?
Both sound like plenty to me... 2GB for video, 2.5Gb for general memory and six processor cores sounds like overkill at the moment.. but I guess they will eventually be used to their fullest potential eventually.
The limit of 1080p means that these requirements are not going to feel restrictive for the next few years I think.
@deadpeasant They could reintroduce almost all of their digital features. Extend the check-in time to a couple of weeks like Steam, and leave the disk based software check as it currently stands. So if you want to buy digital you have the digital advantages. If you want to buy disk based, you have the disk in the tray to play, but have the flexibility to buy/sell your disks as you like.
@arqe @gamespotpanayis @Lockjaw2000 Agreed, the level of stupidity on these forums can be frustrating, but there are also a lot of constructive and well thought out comments.. even if I don't agree with them (in which case they are obviously wrong, but still well thought out). :o)
@Daian I think now that Julie Larson-Green is running the Xbox division we'll see some pretty awesome focus from Microsoft. I think she's a great choice for gamers as the new Xbox lead.
