I've had great support from Microsoft the few times that I've had to contact them. When my original 360 broke in '06, I sent in my broken console and received a new one in about a week; the new console has been running strong for over three years now. For a company as large as Microsoft, they've got damn good customer service.

OK, my 360 isn't broken or anything, but I just want some reassurance that my 360 will be OK after what happened this afternoon. This afternoon, while my 360 was booting up, I was moving around some cords behind my entertainment center to give my 360's power supply some air. Before I knew what hadhappened, I heard my 360 booting down and saw a red glow coming from the power supply; the power cord had wiggledloose from the power supply. Yes, I feel like an idiot. I plugged everything back in and rebooted my 360 to find that it still runs like a champ, booting up the game with no problems. I played for about an hour this afternoon with no problems.

My concern is that this little mishap could possibly lead to future problems with my system. Would the surge protector in the power supply still protect the system from damage, even though the cord was directly unplugged from the power brick? All I'm looking for is some reassurance that my 360 will be OK.

NBA 2K7 by far is the best basketball game of all time. It's the deepest, most immersive simulation around.

I got bored within two months of picking it up. The first party Nintendo titles get old quite quickly and the almost non-existant third-party support makes it fall into the same trap of all Nintendo consoles before it. The novelty of the Wiimote got old fast and the near ancient hardware has left it sitting on my shelf unused and covered with dust for the past four months.

[QUOTE="2largeadults"][QUOTE="Javy03"]If you went to the link you will see they are comparing the 360 and the PS3 at the same stage, the 5 month life cycle so they are comparing the 360s sales when it was new to the PS3s sales when it was new.2largeadults

Thank you! Someone with an education! :D Reading Rainbow! It's in a book. Just take a look. Reading Rainbowwwwww!

And somebody is forgetting the fact that 360's were in massive shortage through the end of March, which is when they finally came into supply. If the PS3 (which has been in supply on store shelves since December) is barely outselling the 360 at the five month life cycle, that is pretty pathetic.

Doesn't change the fact that the PS3 is just as healthy as the 360 was at the same time. Reports of a "flop" were very premature.

It doesn't change the fact, but my point still stands.

QUOTE] Heard it from me Wii will pass the 360 in September 2007, and PS3 will pass 360 in January 2008. 360 is a great system, but they need to stay in it's place, and that's dead last. Shooters don't make the gaming industry.shungokustasu

Well, the X360 will continue with shooters but the genere is slowing down. MS has more than shooters and it's showing. Mass Effect looks amazing and has put a hell of a spin on RPGs, they've also been fortunate enough to get some other tiles that were once exclusive, the online features are second to none. The Wii is awesome and definitely has the potential to win, but the Wii is still lacking games. The X360 has a quite a few titles that are yet to be released that are poised for GOY, within their respective generes. For example: Fable 2, Halo 3, Mass Effect, DMC4, Dirt, GTA4, Lost Oddessey, and Blue Dragon. Mind you, 4 of those titles are RPGs. Those games will be able to make a few welts on the Asian market. I think those are great enough reasons on why the X360 is poised to win this generation over, at least for right now.

Blue Dragon flop in Asia. So will all the other Jrpg on the X360.

Who really gives a crap whether they flop in Japan? You are completely missing the point of this guy's post, which is that the 360 has a lot more games to offer than just shooters as you seem to believe. You also fail to give any logic in every single one of your posts; all you do is give your blinded fanboy opinions.

(quote got screwed up)

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/gaming/a44314/ps3-selling-faster-than-xbox-360-in-us.html Delicious.

The site won't even load for me, and do you serously think I'm going to base US sales off a random UK website called digitalspy.com?

Heh heh heh. I guess your PC has Lemming denialitis.

Umm, ok, you're cool.....  Can you actually come up with something intelligent to say? The only way you can argue with sales is unless you can come up with true NPD sales numbers, which you can't.

And you heard it from me, the PS3 has no chance in passing the 360 when the only high-profile games it has backing it up are Final Fantasy and MGS, two franchises that are already in discussion of going multi-plat. Sure, it still has Heavenly Sword, GT5, and Lair, but those don't even come close to stacking up to the 360's Mass Effect, Halo 3, Bioshock, Forza 2, Huxley, Gears of War (& GOW2), Alan Wake, Blue Dragon, Splinter Cell 5, Kane and Lynch, Too Human, Shadowrun, and Lost Odyssey. Plus, with games like Assassin's Creed, DMC4, and GTA IV all on a cheaper platform, I don't think the PS3 will be catching up anytime soon, especially if MGS and FF come over to the 360.

I would argue with you, but your whole post is opinion. None of those games you said are out. Come back when you have factual proof like numbers and stats.

And where is your proof? Like numbers and stats that would make you think the PS3 will pass the 360 by 2008 let alone even catch up. Yeah you dont want to use the numbers or stats because they are absolutely pathetic. Your whole arguement about the PS3 passing the 360 is an opinion, wishful thinking, an assumption...its not a fact at all.

PS3 is outselling the 360 at the same point when 360 was out for 5 months. And that was without Europe and Aussie.

And quoting what 'Evo310whp' just said, "And where is your proof." You claim its outselling the 360, but where is your proof? From what I've seen as far as sales and numbers, the 360 has been outselling the PS3 since the beginning of the year.
